Happy first Sunday in October everyone.
Everywhere I go, I see mums, pumpkins and Fall decorations. Fall is in full swing. Soon the leaves will be falling everywhere. So far since our weather in Ohio has been extra warm, I'm not sure we will get the explosion of Fall colors that we normally do.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Psalm 23
From three very comfortable premises David, in this psalm, draws three very comfortable conclusions, and teaches us to do so too. We are saved by hope, and that hope will not make us ashamed, because it is well grounded. It is the duty of Christians to encourage themselves in the Lord their God; and we are here directed to take that encouragement both from the relation wherein he stands to us and from the experience we have had of his goodness according to that relation. Taken from Matthew Henry Commentary
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; discretion shall preserve thee and understanding shall keep thee; to deliver thee from the way of the evil man; from the man that speaketh froward (means preverse) things; who leave thy paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness; who rejoices to do evil and delights in the frowardness of the wicked.
Proverbs 2:10-14
Observation Once we let God into our heart, we will have the wisdom to use the knowledge that we have to attain the goodness that following God's commands allow us. We will love our understanding of the goodness it brings.
Prayer Blessed Father, how awesome is the things of your ways that you give daily. May not be what I think it should be, but you remind me of the blessings I do have in my life. Thank you for the continued knowledge of this. Amen
