Peabea Scribbles Photography

You know Spring must be near
when you see an abundance of Golden Daffodils
 and Tulips everywhere.
Charmaine J Ford

Just some fun recent flower purchases. Sometimes the grocery has flowers that are reduced because they're not daily fresh. However, I have found that they thrived pretty much as well as the fresh cut ones.

Since I've moved, and no longer have a flower garden, love taking flowers home when I grocery or otherwise shop. I do still plant some in a couple planters when the weather gets nice enough.

Hope all are doing well. Have a happy weekend.

Signs of Spring at the base of a tree back in the wooded area. No idea what it is called, but love the color of this delicate little flower.

Have a happy week. Link up is open.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 5 16 2023 ~ They're Back

They are back Again! Mow then puff balls. I do let them grow for the bees, and then when the puff balls appear...mowing can be more frequent, and I do spray for the ticks. They seem to be going to be bad this year as the grandson has already found some on him. That's the part of Spring and Summer that I do not like. Ticks!! Had one really embedded once, and was lucky not to get the Lyme disease.

A favorite flower gift from kids. I loved receiving them as my babies thought they were the prettiest thing ever.

Remember this as a kid about dandelions?
Many dandelion superstitions have evolved into childhood tales – ask any seven year old, and they’ll tell you that if you blow on a dandelion puff, the tiny seeds will carry a wish for you. Also, hold a dandelion bloom under your chin – if your skin appears yellow, you’ll be rich some day. This particular legend dates back to medieval times.

Anyway, I think Spring has fully arrived. Been nice. I got some flowers planted. Did the hubby's grave for Memorial Day.

Sad news: I mowed, got finished and the riding mower went kabut. Hoping not major and the grandson can fix it. It is old. I remember how thrilled the hubby was when he bought it brand new. There's just something about most guys and mowers. I think it's their relaxing, thinking time as they ride around. Plus they like the fresh cut grass look and smell. For me, it's never been my thing, but now the job falls to me. (sad face) lol

Hope all are enjoying. Have a gread week.

Hugs from me

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 1 31 2023

Tomorrow. The month of February is when a ground hog predicts our future length of Winter. lol It will happen on February 2nd. Our local Ground Hog is called Buckeye Chuck. Then there's one in Pennsylvania called Punxsutawny Phil. I've never kept track to see if his prediction holds true or not. I just know it's too long a time for me until beautiful Spring weather arrives. So far, though our Winter hasn't been too bad. Do any of you have weird weather predictions where you live? haha

Groundhog Day is a popular North American tradition observed in the United States and Canada on February 2. It derives from the Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that if a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day and sees its shadow due to clear weather, it will retreat to its den, and winter will go on for six more weeks; if it does not see its shadow because of cloudiness, spring will arrive early.

By this time, I'm already missing these kinds of days when the little ones did bubbles in the air.

A bed I sewed for Razzy. Made a square for bottom and tubes stuffed with stuffing for the sides then sewed it all together. I used left over material I had so cost was minimal.

One of my recycing bags I make using shirts that no longer fit or ones from the thrift shop. so easy to make. I cut across beneath the collar. Take off the sleeves and use them to make the handles.

Then pair it wih a magnetic shopping list and you're off to the store.

Candy heart background I made. Could use for phone or digiscrapping or cut out center and enclose picture of a cutie pie. Print and enclose in a frame.

Just scribbling some graphics and crafts today. Happy Tuesday and last day of January of the new year. Blessings and good thoughts to everyone who stops by to share a link or a comment.

Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 3 21 2021

Luke 2:1-7

"My beloved." — Song of Solomon_2:8

This was a golden name which the ancient Church in her most joyous moments was wont to give to the Anointed of the Lord. When the time of the singing of birds was come, and the voice of the turtle was heard in her land, her love-note was sweeter than either, as she sang, "My beloved is mine and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies." Ever in her song of songs doth she call him by that delightful name, "My beloved!" Even in the long winter, when idolatry had withered the garden of the Lord, her prophets found space to lay aside the burden of the Lord for a little season, and to say, as Esaias did, "Now will I sing to my well-beloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard." Though the saints had never seen his face, though as yet he was not made flesh, nor had dwelt among us, nor had man beheld his glory, yet he was the consolation of Israel, the hope and joy of all the chosen, the "beloved" of all those who were upright before the Most High. We, in the summer days of the Church, are also wont to speak of Christ as the best beloved of our soul, and to feel that he is very precious, the "chiefest among ten thousand, and the altogether lovely." So true is it that the Church loves Jesus, and claims him as her beloved, that the apostle dares to defy the whole universe to separate her from the love of Christ, and declares that neither persecutions, distress, affliction, peril, or the sword have been able to do it; nay, he joyously boasts, "In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."

O that we knew more of thee, thou ever precious one!

"My sole possession is thy love;

In earth beneath, or heaven above,

I have no other store;

And though with fervent suit I pray,

And importune thee day by day,

I ask thee nothing more."

Believers are beautiful, as clothed in the righteousness of Christ; and fragrant, as adorned with the graces of his Spirit; and they thrive under the refreshing beams of the Sun of righteousness. The lily is a very noble plant in the East; it grows to a considerable height, but has a weak stem. The church is weak in herself, yet is strong in Him that supports her. The wicked, the daughters of this world, who have no love to Christ, are as thorns, worthless and useless, noxious and hurtful. Corruptions are thorns in the flesh; but the lily now among thorns, shall be transplanted into that paradise where there is no brier or thorn. The world is a barren tree to the soul; but Christ is a fruitful one. And when poor souls are parched with convictions of sin, with the terrors of the law, or the troubles of this world, weary and heavy laden, they may find rest in Christ. It is not enough to pass by this shadow, but we must sit down under it. Believers have tasted that the Lord Jesus is gracious; his fruits are all the precious privileges of the new covenant, purchased by his blood, and communicated by his Spirit; promises are sweet to a believer, and precepts also. Pardons are sweet, and peace of conscience sweet. If our mouths are out of taste for the pleasures of sin, Divine consolations will be sweet to us. Christ brings the soul to seek and to find comforts through his ordinances, which are as a banqueting-house where his saints feast with him. The love of Christ, manifested by his death, and by his word, is the banner he displays, and believers resort to it. How much better is it with the soul when sick from love to Christ, than when surfeited with the love of this world! And though Christ seemed to have withdrawn, yet he was even then a very present help. All his saints are in his hand, which tenderly holds their aching heads. Finding Christ thus nigh to her, the soul is in great care that her communion with him is not interrupted. We easily grieve the Spirit by wrong tempers. Let those who have comfort, fear sinning it away.

Link up is open below if you'd like to share a scripture today. Thank you. Have a heavenly, happy week ahead. First day of Spring was yesterday, and we're to have nice, sunny weather and it so does help the mood in these Covid weeks. Constantly praying for those who have suffered the Covid and their families in our world, and that God eradicates it soon.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 4 16 19 Potpouri of My Photos

At this point in Spring, I even miss the weeds. No flowers sprouting yet, except I am excited because I think the flower my daughter got me for Mother's Day couple years ago that I planted outside looks to have a bud coming. If so, yay! It made it. It was one in a pot that the stores sell for Mother's Day, I think it is a Crocus?? not sure, but a yellow flower that said after it died, you could plant outside. So I did! Yay Me!! haha

Below are some cloud photos from my collection that I took when we were out on the water some years back. I apologize if I've shared them prior...not sure.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 4 9 2019 Spring

Spring...
the earth is warming when the sun shows it's full face.
It warms the soul, when winter it replaces
Doors and windows spring open, people emerge
to the morning sounds of the bird's songs
for a walk in the gentle breeze that announces
The earth is warming, enjoy the day
for Spring Has Arrived... - pb

Made a happy, cheerful, flowery digital graphic for this week's Pictorial Tuesday with an attempt at a poem to accompany. lol

Now your turn: Pictorial Tuesday is for sharing your photography, photo art, or digital graphics. Thank you.

Mine and Razzy favorite ride

I believe Spring is finally arriving after pretty much snow every day in April. We took advantage of the warmth over the week-end and did some yard work. Cutting down brush along the fence row. While cutting, discovered a Robin nest with eggs. I carefully moved it over to a small tree that wasn't getting cut. Thankfully, once we were done, we did see the Robin had found the moved nest and was sitting on it. Phew...so glad I didn't disturb things too much.

Our furbaby was enjoying laying in the sun, and also got to ride in his and my favorite toy. We use it for yard work, etc. We also can use it on the streets so it has license so I can take the grandbaby to the local Ice Cream stand.

It's Pictorial Tuesday time again for sharing your photos. Thank you for linking up. You're next.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up ~ Bubbles

When I was young, Easter meant the beginning of Spring. Kite flying weather, the earth beginning to warm up, sandals could be worn or just go barefoot was the 'go to' thing for me, and of course after Easter signaled that people could now wear white clothes and shoes. And of course, there was always the bubble fun. These photos are from when my grandson had a bigger wand for blowing big bubbles so of course that meant I had to grab a camera to photograph his bubble fun. ~smiles~

You're next for sharing with Pictorial Tuesday. Thanks.

The Robins Are Back

Not sure where they go for the winter. I've read that they stay around even in the winter, but we don't see them at all. They made their first showing this week. So, Spring is about here. Yay!!

I'm also so ready to see some color: These are from few years ago.

Thanks for visiting, and would love to have you share your photography, graphics or just say hello. :)

For some more on Robins, visit my page link 'Update On The Bird Nest' above for when the Robins nested on our water hose one Spring. It was fun to watch the eggs, the Robins taking turns watching their eggs, and then the family flitting about the back yard.

The Artist

Outside is being painted today…and the color of choice is white
The paint is falling down and covering the ground
Some branches of the trees, just a touch here and there
The artist is Mother Nature

Upon waking you see a clean white sheet
The flakes sparkle as they drift down
Lightly covering all that is on the ground
No tracks, no marks can be seen
The snow has washed the earth clean once again

Then the hustle and bustle of life begins
Cars driving by
People walking
Animals playing here and there

Slowly the atmosphere, gives a brownish hue
Covering the wonderful white that was there
Like the influences in life
Dirtying her up once again

Patiently we wait each day
To see what colors will be displayed
By the artist that is painting our world
Today will it be grey, white or the wonderful Green
That only Spring time can bring
