Pictorial Tuesday 12 30 2025

As we say good-bye to 2025, I hope all had a nice Christmas holiday, and will be enjoying the New Year celebrations this weekend. We had to postpone our Christmas celebrations with family until after the holidays, and will be with family on January 4th, which is also my 2nd son's birthday. My first son's birthday is New Year's Eve so everyone celebrates his along with him. lol

For New Year's Eve, I've booked a space on the couch in front of the television for a good movie.  Some may know and some not that I was married to a musician, and for many years, after he quit the road shows, we had a band together with the family for about 16 years. In those days, unless we had a band job on New Year's Eve, we always stayed home. If you celebrate, stay safe and have much fun.

I'm hoping 2026 is a nicer year than 2025 has been for me, and prayers it is a good one for all of you. Thank you to all who have stopped by for Pictorial Tuesday this year (even though I was late to it), and all the years before.

~Happy New Year~ 2026

Peabea Scribbles 12 9 2025

Can't believe I've never made these before. So fun.

The last couple of years, I've had a white flocked tree, but this year decided I wanted a green one again. However, I'm not sure I'm liking it as much as I thought I would, and maybe like the white one better.

I put this one in the living room, and the white one in the TV room. You have to put lights on it so I let my 13 y.o. grand-daughter who just moved back from California with her family do the white one. They had so much fun, and then my son decorated the porch for me.

I think I need to make a couple snow flakes for this room too. hahaha since they're so easy and fun to make if I can find some more lunch bags.

My oldest son got this snow globe for me one year. He loved Snoopy. Guess kids still do. I have to get it out every year. It is a musical and Snoopy and Woodstock skate around as the music plays.

This is new this year that my younger sister painted for me. I displayed it by the tree.

Hope all are enjoying the month of Christmas celebrations for Jesus' Birthday, and lots of shopping fun with family and friends.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 12 19 2023

Artwork from the grandson when he was little. I loved it so scanned it to keep and added the words.

We aren’t really wearing the hats. It’s photo magic with a hat jpg from The Coffeeshop Blog. lol Razzy probably would have shook it off if real. ☺

From Razzy Morkie Boy and me Merry Christmas, and hope you have nice holiday weeks however you celebrate them. I won’t be posting the link up next Tuesday so will say have a Happy New Year and see you in 2024.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 11 28 2023

Crocheting over the clear ornaments that I've done recently.

Didn't make the knomes or trees, just the crochet ornaments.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving if you celebrate. Have to admit, so sorry that I'm never sure who celebrates which holidays if outside of the USA.

So now guess it's on to Christmas even though it seems ridiculous to me that we should be celebrating Christmas in mid Summer because I guess my mind is stuck back there. Cannot believe 2023 is going this fast. Since I've retired you'd think it should be going more slowly, but seems to be going way faster. When I worked, the days seemed to drag even though I was busy with kids sports and activities, plus a new baby, and also part of my husband's band that played 4-5 nights a week. Maybe I was just to tired so they seemed to drag. 😄

Above is a words on one of my photos. I use to do graphics, and I'm really rusty so think I'll get back to doing those more since I really don't get out for photography that much anymore.

Have a happy and safe week.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 1 3 2023

Just a few photos from my posts during 2022. All in all 2022 treated me pretty good other than the disappointment of the Christmas holiday weather. The next week though, my son and DIL took me to lunch and shopping at the Bend 'n Dent. Do any of you do shopping at those? The ones they take me to are run by the Amish. They have some unusual items. We mostly go for the coffee pods for the Keurig. Some things are outdated by a bit, but a lot are still with good dates. I'm not sure, but I think they must get foods or excess from groceries. Maybe by the pallet load. Not sure, but there are some really good bargains. It was a fun day with the son, his wife, my grandson and his wife since we didn't get to get together for Christmas. They make my day and make me laugh.

It is interesting to be in a store with no electricity or heat, but that's their lifestyle/religion. You keep wanting to have someone turn on the lights. If can't see with the normal lighting, we use the flashlight on our cameras to see dates.😀

Hope all had a really nice New Year holiday. If you pick a word for the new year, can you share? I usually pick one, but still mulling it over to decide.

Really hope 2023 treats all with kindness. I know I look forward to seeing all the wonderful photography that will be shared here during the year from all who stop by. Have a great day.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday Link Up 12 27 2022

Wow, we have come to the end so this is the last one for 2022. Seems like it flew by. My post is a remake of one that I did Christmas 2015. The Christmas Eggs

Christmas Eggs

Reposting from 2015 - a Christmas craft to make.

One Christmas around 1974 when bored and not many Christmas ornaments for our tree, I decided to make a diorama out of eggs. Using manicure scissors, I cut the front out of the egg, cleaned out the inside and rinsed it out and let it dry maybe a few hours or even overnight. I then glued any decorations I could find i.e. this one is a Santa cut out of a Christmas card, and then I added cotton so that it looked like a snow scene. I glued yarn around the opening to hide any jagged edge and then glued string to the top for adding an oranment hanger. This Santa egg is one of the first ones I made that year. Every year, I just pack it away with the other tree ornaments. I actually haven't even been that careful with it. That first year, I even made some, dated them and gave them as gifts.

I would love to be an artist because I think a talented person could really decorate the insides wonderfully. This craft would even be fun to do to make an Easter decorated tree.

Below are pictures of some of the eggs I made that year. I added pictures of them hanging on my tree.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoy this craft and drop me a comment or add a picture to your comment if you decide to try this and let me know how it turns out.

Since then, I have seen that other people make these eggs or buy them decorated to hang or display.

This year my eggs are 48 years old so who would have thought egg shells are that tough. :) They still adorn my tree this year.

Hope all survived the terrible storms that hit the U.S. this Christmas. My daughter and SIL arrived home from their cruise just in time to be snowed in plus they came home with Covid. So, with the weather and their being sick, our Christmas was cancelled. My son lives about 50 minutes away with country roads so told them not to chance it. I was lucky, thank God, because my electric stayed on the whole time. I feel so bad for those on the East Coast who really got slammed with the snow and winds. I was in the blizzard in 1978, and did not relish doing that again, but they say this one was worse for those who got hit badly.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanuka, Happy Kwanza or however you celebrated this Holiday Season. And Happy New Year with many blessings for 2023.

Link up is open below. Thanks so much for all that have shared 2022 and prior years with me. I love seeing your visits.

This is the stare I got late the night of the storm when it was wind chill 20 below zero with 55 mph winds. But when you gotta go, you gotta go. He made it each night and day, but couldn't be long because his paws get cold and then can't walk so I carry him out and in. This week we will be in the 50's. Ridiculous weather. Ma Nature is so confused! lol

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday LinknUp 11 15 2022

And so it begins where I live in Ohio

I do apologize for last week's lack of a link up. Things got away from me, and actually, I forgot to post.

For this week, I have the snow videos above, and some crafting and bit of thrifting.

Sewed some project bags for my crochet and knitting projects.

Some Thrifting:
A little thrifted tree. Looks in new condition. Pre-lit and couldn't pass up for hallway.

Metal reindeer very cheap. Only needed a ribbon added. Glitter still really good.

This tree branch flowers light up on a 4 hour timer. Couldn't get a good pic of it lit.

Flitter camdles with timers. They were new in box. Not sure why someone would donate but guess just didn't want.

These gold wicker balls were in a bag with gold ribbon. Just thought cute addition to Christmas decor.

Thank you to all who stop by and participate. You are appreciated. Have a great week.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 12 21 2021

I've been watching a lady who does DIY projects; mostly stenciling and selling the stencils. However, I love when I stumble onto a more economic way for my budget. I found a site that showed how to make stencils using a laminator and just the laminator sheets. You just run the sheet through with nothing between. Then I could us my (c)Cricut and Design Space to choose the image I wanted. I found this cute snowman svg for free on the net. Don't you just love when people share their creativity? But, I also learned to get some removable adhesive spray to help keep the stencil down for painting.

Next was back to the (c)Cricut to make some tags for my Christmas gifts. Every year, I make my own. Sometimes it's using Christmas cards I received the year before or designing with Adobe. Sometimes, I scan my wrapping paper and create the tags from that. Sometimes people share ready made for free. These are just a simple tag that I found free in Design Space and then found some images to cut out.

This was a November project. My son 'n dil gave me this coffee table. It was all black, and I wasn't crazy about how dark it was on the top. A stripper, and hand sander and some acrylic and the top looked better, I thought. I kept the bottom as is because I'm lazy and didn't want the extra work. 😂

My son and dil took me to a nursery where they have Christmas plants. They bought me these two. A poinsettias and a little pine tree. I'm no good with plants, but I think the tree has actually grown. Anyway, the fun part was once they were purchased, the lady sprinkles with glitter, and it made them look so Christmasy. The photo doesn't do the spinkles justice.

So, that's what I've been shooting. Please share what you've been shooting or just say hello.

Have a great Christmas if you observe or whichever you observe this time of year, have great time. My family can't observe the day until first part of January due to work schedules, but I'm so happy that this year all my kids will be coming home to celebrate with me.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 12 7 2021

Snow is coming so I'll be cuddled up with my furbaby, Razzy, a cup of hot chocolate and some Christmas movies. The plus of retirement, I no longer have to go out on a blustery morning and battle the snow to get to work. There were some days that I thought I wouldn't make it. Acutally, one year in the 1970's, we had a blizzard type weather, and I lost my car because they closed the roads, and everyone had to just leave their cars. We did get a ride with emergency help. Anyway, they opened up after the storm was over to any tow truck company that could get out to get them off the highway. Took me a few days to find out who towed my car so I could go retrieve it. No fun, so yeah, I like just staying off the road whenever it snows now. This time, the snow isn't to hang around too long.

At Christmas, I usually make a craft or two. Below is the current pillows that I made out of one fat quater. I found the cute buffalo check for very reasonable, and with the (c)Cricut added the wording.

This is new for Razzy. He now thinks he likes to perch on the back of the couch. Maybe he can see better out the window??

What's happening for you as you prepare for Christmas season. With grown kids and their families, we won't be celebrating until after the New Year because of thir schedules.

Have a happy week. Thanks for visiting. I enjoy each and everyone who visits me and shares or just says hello or just stops by. :)

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 12 22 2020

Playing with learning to do the globe and trying to make falling snow, but seems I probably don't have the updated programs. I have Adobe CS5 and Elements 12, and the tutorials I watch, I don't have all the tools they have or it's me. I do have Adobe Elements 2018, but for some reason my computer will load it, but then it just freezes up.

My blue spruce tree with snow and then I did a posterization on it.

Was going to include a movie of Razzy and me walking in the snow since we had our first decent snow, but Blogger isn't cooperating. Hope everyone who celebrates has a great Christmas this week.

Wow, I just looked on my calendar last night. Didn't realize we're in the last full week before Christmas. The months seem to be flying by so fastly. Hope all are doing well wherever you live, and keeping safe.

Just some graphics since I don't really have any great, new photos to share. Love making graphics anyway so that's my share this week. Thanks for stopping by Peabea Scribbles and sharing your love of photography or photography art. Link is open below.
