In the 40th year, Moses spoke to the children of Israel all that the Lord had in commandment of them. Deuteronomy is the 5th book of Old Testament, and reminder of the law. They are to possess the land sworn to their fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Leaders are chosen from each tribe. Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man for the judgment is God's; and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it. Deuteronomy 1:17
The Lord your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes. Deuteronomy 1:30
Happy last day of August for this year. Hope all are well.
Have a nice holiday weekend if you are in the USA. It's Labor Day holiday. No special plans here except to maybe take the furbaby for a walk. Razzy loves going out for walks.
Wishing all many blessings, health, and happiness in the New Year. May it be one of new beginnings for betterment for all. Hope all have had a nice Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas holidays.
Happy Birthday to Jesus this week. A special gift if we only accept it.
Link up is open below. So glad for each who visits me, and shares a blessing either through their blog or just in the comment section or just say hello. Have a great week.
Tree decorating are starting to make their appearance in homes, and brightly lit decorations don the outside of homes. We are in the first week of Advent ~ HOPE. After the last year, and this year that we've been having, there is always hope with Christ. Hope of things to come, the eradication of this terrible virus called Covid-19, and blessings of all kinds. We have the promise of Hope always. The trees and decorations are signs that all still have Hope of better days because we believe.
Just scribbline about Hope and Love that came down on that night with a babe born in a stable.
Reading today, November 28 is from 1 Peter 1:2-3
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sancitification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace be multiplied. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
The hope was in what was to come, and the love that is always.
The prophet Jeremiah witnessed unimaginable horrors when the Babylonians invaded Jerusalem in 586 BC. Solomon's temple was reduced to ruins, and with it went not only the center of worship but also the heart of the community. The people were left with no food, no rest, no peace, and no leader. But in the midst of suffering and grief, one of their prophets found a reason for hope.
"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed," wrote Jeremiah, "for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness". Lamentations 3:22-23
Happy first Sunday of November. Link up is open below. Thank you for sharing a blessing. I appreciate and read each one. Share with others that have linked if you are able.
I have to admit there is no way that I can sing all the way through or even listen to this song without the tears flowing. He IS the BREATH in OUR LUNGS He breathed life into us even before we were born as we lay in our mother's womb. He breathed life into our lungs as we emerged into this world, and the most awesome part of his breath was when he took his last on the cross, he breathed life into our lungs as Christians.
You give life, You are love You bring light to the darkness You give hope, You restore Every heart that is broken Great are you Lord
Cause It's Your breath in our lungs So we pour out our praise, we pour out our praise It's Your breath in our lungs So we pour out our praise to You only
You give life, You are love You bring light to the darkness You give hope, You restore Every heart that is broken Great are you Lord
It's Your breath in our lungs So we pour out our praise, we pour out our praise It's Your breath in our lungs So we pour out our praise to You only
It's Your breath in our lungs So we pour out our praise, we pour out our praise It's Your breath in our lungs So we pour out our praise to You only
-instruments only-
All the earth will shout your praise Our hearts will cry, these bones will sing Great are you Lord
It's Your breath in our lungs So we pour out our praise, we pour out our praise It's Your breath in our lungs So we pour out our praise to You only x's 6
Pour out our praise to You only Pour out our praise to You only
In lieu of sharing a Scripture today, I am letting Casting Crowns share their scripture with this song. Thanks for visiting Sunday Scripture Blessings. :) Have a great week ahead.
Some link ups you may want to visit today and throughout the week. Thanks.
Hey, how is everyone's week going. I came home from Vacation last Thursday to find that Mr. Razzy wasn't feeling too great. His system was off as far as his normal potty routine. He's never been gone anywhere for a week before, and even though my son's family kept him, I think the stress got to him or he put something in his mouth that he shouldn't. I read to try yogurt so I did, and I think it is working. He's back to acting his onery self. lol
On another note, the vacation was great.
Since I'm now leaving Scripture Blessings up for a week, I'm sharing another scripture, and the link up is below if you'd like to add one from Sunday or anytime during the week.
Free Printable below you can use as a bookmark or however. The scripture is Psalm 29:11 and Joshua 24:15. I place them back to back and then laminate for my Bible. Just click on it and save it. Any problem, let me know. :😊
This week's Scripture Blessing link up is still open for sharing. Thanks to all who have visit and share some scripture.
I'm so excited to be going on vacation with my daughter's family. Can use some prayers for traveling mercies; I am a bit aprehensive of traveling so far since at my age, all bones and body will surely ache, but not break. :) For that reason, there won't be a link up on Sunday or sharing next week, but please return the following Sunday. I do miss those that can't always stop by.
I have decided that I will change Sunday Scripture Blessings to just Scripture Blessings, and leave it open all week now instead of just on day. Everything else remains the same.
From my Journal writings in 2015:
The month of March, I've been listening to Jesus talking to his desciples, teaching them the Law, giving them powers, and telling the parables. I was among the crowds that gathered listening to His words in Matthew. We gathered at different cities, we followed along. I was there in Matthew when he said he would die and Peter didn't want to hear it. We followed along as they beat him, and nailed him to that cross. Sadness filled my heart, but I knew it would turn to Joy because he had said why he would go to the cross. For me, and for all.
The words that resonate to me that he said - Matthew 36-40 - LOVE.
There is Love no greater than happened on the cross, and Jesus' sacrifice for us.
Link up is open below for sharing a scripture. Thanks for visiting Peabea Scribbles. Have a happy week.
Sharing Proverbs in the linkup:
Please feel free to include another one in the link up below. Party is open all week now.
"For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs." Zephaniah 3:17 NLT
Look at all the promises packed into this one verse of scripture! God is with you. He is your mighty savior. He delights in you with gladness. He calms your fears with His love. He rejoices over you with joyful songs. Wow! What a bundle of hope is found here for the believer. Like a mother attuned to her newborn baby's cries, so is your heavenly Father's heart for you. He delights in being your Father. He knows when the storms of life are raging all around you. He senses your need to be held close and for your fears to be calmed. It is in those times that He is for you a Prince of Peace, a Comforter. He rejoices over you with joyful songs. Can you imagine that God loves you so much that you cause Him to sing? God sings over you. And the songs He sings are joyful. He loves you with an unconditional, everlasting love. Face this day knowing that your God is with you. He calms you. And He sings over you. You are blessed. (Daily Wisdom for Women Devotional)
The link up is open below if you would like to share a scripture. Thank you for visiting, and enjoy the week ahead knowing that God is there for all of us.
Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. He could bring about no change of mind, though he sought the blessing with tears. Hebrews 12:17
My belief is that had Esau lived after Jesus, he would be forgiven once he confessed and truly believed because Jesus came to erase our sins. So thankful that I live in a world that knows the Son who by his shed blood cleansed from sin, which allows for another chance once we stumble and fall.
Scirpture link up is open below. I will be gone most of Sunday and part of the week so I may not get to reply or visit the link ups, but will try. Thanks for visiting and sharing as they truly are a blessing, and love seeing the comments. If you don't blog, remember, you can leave a blessing in the comments section. Have a great week.
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert(on a pole), so must (so it is necessary that) the Son of Man be lifted up (on the cross), In order that everyone who believes in Him (who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him) may not perish, but have eternal life and (actually) live forever!
John 3:14-15 AMPC
Thanks for visiting Sunday Scripture Blessings. Feel free to leave a scripture link or if you don't have a scripture blog, there is a place when link up opens to just add a scripture.

Ah, another week on the books, and almost another month. Some kids have started their new way of going back to school, and the grandson enters HS the end of the month on the hybrid method. I would have preferred they homeschool him, but their choice. Praying always for the school age kids who have dealt with school shootings, and now the new dealing with this pandemic. Also praying for the teachers, and parents. God Bless them all. However, as this scripture says, their path is shining, and trusting the good Lord to lead them safely along.
Happy Sunday, and have a good week. Link up for sharing a scripture is open below. Thank you.
For I, the LORD your GOD, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, "Fear not, I am the one who helps you." Isaiah 41:13 ESV
Hands. We do so much with our hands. Some can't talk without using their hands, and I am one, I guess. Actually, I don't really notice because I'm concentrating on what I want to say. If we watch babies, they spend a lot of time just looking at their hands from infancy until they realize how to use them correctly. Our kids, when learning to eat, used them to turn the spoon upside down, which lost their food. But they soon learned to adjust that. Some babies eat with their hands, and oh, the mess.
Hands. As we grow, we use them in so many other ways throughout life. The gentle touch of a hand from a mom when her child is sad. When we meet that special someone, holding hands feels right.
And, just knowing that God's hand is there in life, and as the scripture says he will help, brings such reassurance. Especially, as our world continues to face many situations that would cause us to be fearful. We have weathered many things in this world, and throughout, we have seen God's hands at work. I trust he is still at work. His way, not ours. But, we can use our hands also for good, as I see many doing.
Humans still continue to amaze me; especially when it seems the chips are down. I saw this video online when I was reading a person's story of how things are in a town in Italy about their facing the Coronavirus Pandemic called We Live in Silence Die in Silence And Wait.
Story is here and is so touching as to what they have been facing: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/03/13/italy-we-live-silence-die-silence-wait/
And also so touching in this simple act of coming together that I have no doubt they were touched by the hand of God who sowed the seed of the first person who began the singing found here:
They can't go out and communicate, and as a coming together, they sing.
Fear not, God is holding our hands through this, same as through everything in life. My prayer is that everyone is staying healthy, and that God helps those who are in charge to alleviate this sooner than later as they did in the days of Swine Flu, N1H1, Sars, and Hong Kong Flu...I had that one and was put down flat on my back when my kids were babies. It was no fun, having the pneumonia, and being deathly sick for more than two weeks. At that time, doctors really weren't wanting anyone to come in to their office, which I couldn't have anyway. But, I finally could get out of bed enough to call the doctor, and he gave the whole family medicine to counteract. With that, we made it through, and with God holding our hand, we will be able to figure this one out.
Happy Sunday and time for praising God with sharing his scripture. Mine is from my journaling that I do, and it is Ephesians. Be sure to click to see the video blessing.
Thank you for visiting Peabea Scribbles, and hope you can share a link or a comment. Have a great week, and for those who will be celebrating Thanksgiving this week....hope yours is blessed with family and great food.
No matter what language we speak, if we’re not using a loving voice with love in our hearts, we are no more than just noise to the ear of the listener. With all the learning we can attain, it means nothing if we don’t have Love in our hearts. Sacrifices mean nothing without Love because love presents as a human trait that none can surpass. With love, we think of others when we speak, we think of how our tongue will be used in a non-hurtful way and words are presented with impact but the love makes it noninvasive so there can then be understanding. With love, we consider the feelings of others before we act. With love, we enjoy and share faith. With love, we learn that faith and hope reside in the one who gave the greatest gift of love ever, the gift of dying on the cross for our sins. The gift of coming in human form to experience us, and adding the important commandment of ‘Love One Another’. Jesus is Love. With Love, you have faith and
hope in things to come.
This is a lesson that I really should repeat daily to myself. I had forgotten that I wrote the above in 2015. I tend to let my tongue go off before I think at times, and then I am regretful. So today's post is more about reminding myself to love. ~ to see love, and to show love ~
As I share this, I am sitting in a house with no heat. Why do things always break on the week-end. It broke first thing Saturday morning. However, I am staying Thankful in this season of Thanksgiving. Thankful the temps will be in the 40's during the day, and even though in the 20's at night, I have two oil heaters that should keep the chill off, and lots of covers to climb under. Always 'thankful' things.
Thanks for visiting and please share a scripture if you would like in the link up below.
I started re-reading the Bible again this year. At first I was doing my daily devotions and reading along with it. However, when I first started reading the entire Bible through in 2013, I followed along with a group called Good Morning Girls. I decided maybe I'd do better to go back and follow along what scripture reading plan they are currently doing. Luckily, when I checked their site, they are just starting the book of 1 Corinthians. They do the SOAK method (S-stands for scripture, O-stands for observation, A-stands for application, K-stands for kneeling in prayer). They provide the materials and I print off their plan rather than buying the booklets from Amazon. Anyway, I feel if I have a writing plan that helps me to stay on track with my reading.
S - Scripture above
O - (and this only my take on it and never intend to share for any influence): Paul is explaining that as a new Christian, we take baby steps. He is explaining that he and the other ministers are only vessels through which GOD teaches, but GOD will impart the knowledge through his spirit that swells in believers.
A - To know where the true knowledge of GOD comes. Not from men/teachers who put their slant on God's teaching, but from God as he helps to discern the truth through the Holy Spirit.
K-Help me to know when I'm listening God's voice, and not to fools and foolishness.
The Scripture isn't the complete chapter, but just one taken that spoke to me. Also, Apollos was a Jew that became a Christian, and ministered.
Would love to hear some methods you use to study.
Have a great Sunday, and thanks for sharing. Link up is below.
