Paul responding to a letter from the Church of Corinth.
So whether you eat or dink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of GOD. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks, or the church of God-even as I try to please everyone in every way. For I am not seeking my own good, but the good of many so that they may be saved.
My observation of chapter 10: It's not what we eat or whom we share food with, but how eating it affects our conscience as a Christian, and to be mindful of how it might affect other Christians. "For the earth is the Lord's and everything in it." So all is good unless the one serving has by their manner, who they worship has made it unclean; then don't eat it if know it has been offered to an idol (i.e. satan), and not just from the marketplace.
My Application for this: If I know something is fine to eat, it is okay. All food from God is clean, but I still won't eat certain foods but because of personal human preference.
Prayer for this Sunday: Thank you GOD for all that is provided for us with your beautiful Earth. Amen.
Have a happy Sunday, and please share a scripture if you like in the link up below. Thanks.
