Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 1 24 2023

Just scribbling about some birds.

Sorry for the quality of the pictures. It was through the window, and my camera, I think, is on its last legs. It's a DSL that I've had for quite a few years and doesn't seem as crisp as when it was new, and the lens seems to lag some.

Anyway, I think I'm finally getting a small variety of birds at the feeder other than just the regular house birds. Last year none so was reluctant to even put it back up. I haven't seen a cardinal in ages, but there she was.

We are a white wonderland right now, and thank goodness without all the wind, I'm not as drifted. I was able to get out of my drive today to run to the store for a few things. I wasn't desperate, but needed a couple of things. I'm so ready for Spring.

Thought I'd get back to doing some graphics, but when doing the one above, I've forgotten a lot of what I use to know, and that's a simple one. Oh well. :)

Happy Tuesday.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday Link Up 7 19 2022

My son's family found a baby crow that was injured a few weeks ago. They took it to the Bird Sanctuary, and they said we could come back in week or so to see how the bird was doing and gave us passes to tour and visit the birds. Sadly though, we found out when we visited that the bird's wing was too broken and the leg too so it couldn't be fixed correctly and it didn't make it. If he'd made it, once well, my son's family could have been the ones to release it.

Some pictures below from the Sanctuary. Was an interesting place to visit and see all the stories of how the birds got there and their story. Some will probably never leave. We were able get food and the little birds would come sit and eat. So cute. Those will eventually be released back into the wild.

Pictures not great quality. Their cages weren't really in sun but more in shady areas.

This guy below; the Barn Owl was so funny to watch

May have to click twice

I have a video of the little bird they found but I'm not including because so sad to see how hungry it was. The mom is still in the tree with two other babies, but she couldn't help the one that fell because of it's wing and leg. Guess even though it didn't make it, it was better than if it had been left for another animal to kill it since it was defenseless.

On another note, latest craft is a project bag that I made for my crochet/knitting. Pattern was found on Ali's YouTube channel at Little Drops of Wonderful.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 1 4 2022

This is from prior first part of January, but looks the same this year. We have had gloomy, and rainy weather all through the holidays. Rained for a solid week of Christmas and New Years so that didn't bode well for my drains. Nor did it provide photo opportunities so I'm resharing from a prior January.

Hope all are fairing well or actually splendid so far into this new year. Here, seems every day I hear of a neighbor, relative or someone getting Covid. Seems to be all around me so I'm not venturing out too much.

I was excited that all my kids were coming for Christmas for the first time in a few years. But, it did not happen due to all the rains and my drainage problems. Plumbers were called, but so far so much surface water has had to drain off first. Luckily, today was no rain and bit of snow so drains this afternoon are doing better. Anyway, that's my exciting holiday. Even though all the kids didn't get to come at once after all, two of them and family filtered in so I got to visit individally. At my age, and with kids all busy lives and schedules, their visits are a plus.

Have a great week.

Pictorial Tuesday 1-17

Just some fun with the bird watching for Pictorial Tuesday. Hubby feeds the birds during the winter months. When the oldest was young and home, he loved feeding the birds. Has been a long time since then, but now hubby has decided he likes to feed and watch so he made us a bird feeder. So far we're trying to spot what birds attend the feeder. To date, we have the NC Chickadee, A Nuthatch, Lots of Sparrows and I don't know the different category of them, BlueJays, Cardinals, Mourning Doves, and a Junco (I think as it does look similar to the Chickadee). We may also have had a Titmouse. We don't see the Robin again until Spring. Just lately, the one in the last two photos showed up and I still haven't researched to see what bird that is. If anyone knows, would love to have you leave a comment about that one or any of the birds. Thanks

You're Next for Pictorial Tuesday. Thanks for linking and sharing your lovely photography, graphics or even a comment just to say hello so we can visit each other. Try to visit at least one linkup and leave them an hello comment so they know you stopped by if you have time.

Sunday Scripture Blessings ~ January 8

Mat 6:25  "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
Mat 6:26  Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Mat 6:27  And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

Thank you for visiting Sunday Scripture Blessings. It will be a blessing to have you leave a scribbling blessing link up of your blog; either a photo or a graphic or simple scribble a hello. Have a blessed Sunday.
