Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 2 2 2020

1 Kings: In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. Behold, I have done according to thy words; lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. 1 Kings 3:5,9-10 KJV

Like in our world today, there are perks. God gave Solomon perks....he gave him all that he hadn't asked...riches, honour with also a caveat of if he would walk in the way of God, keep his statutes, his commandments then he would lengthen Solomon's days.

I would pray that our leaders in all the world would ask what Solomon did so that there would be no more harm or mistreatment by those with all the power. Give leaders the Wisdom of Solomon as they rule in whatever position they hold. Wouldn't that be awesome?

Sunday Scripture Blessings 10 22 17

Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things, put on CHARITY, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the PEACE OF GOD rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be THANKFUL. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Colossians 3:11-17 KJV

In my reading through the Bible, I have finished this Summer. I started in 2014 so it took me all this time reading daily. The group I started with suggest reading only one chapter a day. So now, I have started back through, but this time I'm using my Daily Wisdom for Women that I had purchased in 2014 and did some with but than abandoned that to just read from my Bible. All the Bible chapters are from KJV, but with this, I am reading more than one chapter a day from the Old Testament and then one from the New as well as there is Proverbs to read. I think with this read through, I will understand more this time around and have better discernment...hopefully. I also use Matthew Henry online as well as my Bible Dictionary and Concordance. May I ask, is there some that you use that is a help other than Matthew Henry?

Sunday Scripture Blessings 10 8 17

Sharing some of my Bible Journaling pages. Some I do in my Bible, others I do in a journal. If you like to make your own journals, I've purchased books really reasonable at Goodwill when they're having a sale: you can take the pages out and put your own blank pages in and then decorate the cover however you like. There are many examples on YouTube of how to sew in the pages or by other methods.  Below is one that I made, but I only finished the edge and didn't totally decorate the book cover.

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,

(by grace ye are saved). Ephesians 2:4-5 KJV

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.
