Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 5 2 2023

Some past Thrift Store Scribbles of fun finds

This one ended up in my Craft/Computer/Sewing room
as well as the one below.

Just liked this one and had to have it since it was a framed storyboard

These two stools are like new and were only $7.99 each and it’s hard to touch a stool in even the discount stores for less than $30 or $40 each or more.

I'm still now sure what happened to the link up last week. I did get it fixed, but was too late since most had already visited, I'm assuming. I'll check back to make sure this one is still here.

Hope all are having a nice beginning of May with a great week to follow.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 2 14 2023

Golden Texture...I used my Yellow Dahlia picture and changed it into a Golden Photo. The manipulations that I used were to first crop the photo and then I inverted it. I applied the Golden Texture and the Trust Texture and I also aplied a Gold coloring. The final touch was to use one of the Dearest Brushes (free brushes compliments of Pixels & Ice Cream).

Original photo is below:

As always, we love visitors, comments and followers. Thanks for stopping by and linking up or just saying hello.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 3 1 2022 ~ Crafting

Coasters made with napkins. You cover the blank with modpodge and then apply the napkin and iron it on using freezer paper to cover it so you don't hurt the napkin. Here on this one, I only applied the modpodge, then put the napkin on and let it dry. Added another coat of modpodge, and when dry sprayed it with clear coat to seal.

I also saw a different way to do it. Put clear wrap like Cling or Saran then put the napkin cover it with freezer paper or something to protect the napkin and iron and it is stuck. I make them for gifts.

Just a sign made with Cricut for kitchen.

I bought this square wood sign at the Thrift store. It originally had a different saying. I painted it and applied the graphic for my bathroom.

Close up of the sewing stitches.

The above is how I packaged my soap when making and at times I did the same procedure for gifts. I sewed cardstock together with an opening at the top that I punched two holes to thread the ribbon through to close. If I wanted a photo or picture of some kind, I printed it first before sewing.

Back

Front of sachet. Pretty sure I found these two graphics on The Graphics Fairy. She shares some great graphics.

This one was a cute idea I found. You sew the edges, apply some potpourri or sachet and then sew it completely closed. Makes a nice drawer insert of just to display.

Not all the crafts are my original idea. Some found around the net or on YouTube.

Link up is open below so you can share what you've been shooting, crafting, or digital creations.
Look forward to visiting. :)

How glorious to be a child of God because we know who is in charge, who has control, and he knows how the story will go. Praise Jesus and with a loving heart, Love one Another.

Scripture Blessings Link Up 10 10 2021

Solomon seems to be pondering why he is doing so many things in his life because who comes after him, may not continue. (Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the sun: because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me. And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have shewed myself wise under the sun. This is also vanity. He concludes in chaper 3:22 that Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

Our portion is what we make of God's gifts. Not to worry about what comes after on earth. Seems Solomon is needlessly worrying over what he has no control; only God does.

(only my take on all this.) Always appreciate any input/thoughts how Ecclesiastes is interpreted by others. Nice to have discussions with others about what the Bible says to them. Thoughts?

Hope all are enjoying October. Have a happy Sunday.

Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 1 27 2021

Joshua 1:9 tells us to "be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Be encouraged. Even when it feels like it, you are truly never alone.

Thankful to have the comfort and peace that only God can give during these sad and trying times. Continued prayers that this Covid pandemic will end sooner than later, and for all those who are ill or have lost loved ones. Does seem that most everyone has been impacted by it in some way or another. Stay safe out there. Link up for sharing is open below:

 Lamentations:

  • Singers sung of Josiah, and they are written in Lamentations (2 Chronicles).
  • Josiah - King of Judah
  • Josiah's deeds first and last are written in the book of kings of Israel and Judah
Romans 3
13 For the promise that he should be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise make none effect.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 4 23 19

Well the Dandelions are arriving, but Spring keeps just teasing and peeking in and then out again. We did have one day 80 degrees, and then the next was back in the 40's and cold at night. Then rain, rain, rain. However, the flowers are persevering and peeking through and coming up. My little blue ones that I planted about 40 years ago (and I confess I am no green thumb and have never tended them) are back. For years, the Mr. would not know they were sprouting and cut them down. I did a couple years ago move some to safer places. :) The Daffodil, I think I've mentioned it couple times before, is one daughter gave me three years ago as potted plant. I planted outside, and this is first year there was a bloom. So pretty.

Below is my fur-baby, Razzy, who did get to enjoy a balmy day outside. He loves the outdoors. The wind was so full though, you can tell by the photo that he had trouble opening his eyes. We didn't stay out too long, but got a game of ball in and some running exercise for him.

Happy Tuesday and hope everyone had a nice Easter. Now time to get to some sharing. Link up is ready below:

Pictorial Tuesday with Link Up 5 29 18

Welcome to Pictorial Tuesday where we celebrate our Photography and share with others. No need to be an expert photographer; all that is required is the love of taking pictures, the love of making graphic art out of our photographs or just doing graphics.

Today, I'm sharing a yellow Zinnia that I planted in my flower bed this year. Since I'm not much of a gardener, I'm hoping it flourishes and makes it through the Summer season. Also, I think it looks much like a Dahlia, and I love Dahlias.

My kids and grandbaby are coming over the Memorial Holiday week so I'm hoping I can talk them into taking a trek on some trails with me so I can take some photos. Mostly right now my latest are flowers, which I love, but feel I need a photo shoot out in nature.

You're next for sharing, and have a nice Memorial Holiday.
