The birds have been singing 🎶 away each morning lately. We are in the 70’s this week and warm, which is rare for March. However when I was young, that was normal. March came and we warmed right up on to Summer. But over the years it became normal to have snow and frigid weather and cold sometimes up to June. I’d love it to be back that way, but not holding my breath because we will probably get hit with some big snow storms yet. Back then you really could rely on if March came in like a Lamb, Winter was definitely over. Not so much anymore, but I’m sure enjoying this 70’s weather today .
Saying good-bye to February, and just Scribbling some random photos. It's pretty much the close of February with tornado warnings in February. We've had such unusual weather in February. No snow and 50, 60 and 70 degree days. It's been nice, but we know it will be look out for March, which usually comes either in like a Lion and goes out like a Lamb or vice versa.
Have a great week, and thanks for linking up or just saying hello.
March this year came in like a Lion, but a tame Lion compared to years past. Especially memorable was one 30 plus years ago. And a few years prior to that, we had the Blizzard of 1978, which was a not so fun one. We spent three days in a house with twenty or more plus neighbors. We cooked over a fire in a fireplace. Thank heavens where we were had one. We survived, and the snow took weeks upon weeks to melt away.
Six years later, we had blizzard like conditions, when our third little one decided to make an entrance. The wind was howling and the snow was blowing and drifts knee high. My car wouldn't start to get me to the hospital, and even if it had, I could not have gotten out of my driveway. Hubby was on the road so it was up to me and her two brothers. We ended up calling the squad to take me. Their sister made her entrance the next afternoon. This past week our snow blizzard baby celebrated her birthday, but thank goodness we weren't also celebrating blizzard like conditions as well. She has now grown into a lovely young woman who is also a mom to our wonderful grandson.
Our March Baby
So, to say the least, this winter has been very gentle indeed. The Lion must have a cold or sore throat and is not howling here in Ohio like normal for March entrance. The weather has bounced around from 70's to back to freezing, and then Summer type days. Yesterday was in the 70's. Today will be rain and cooler weather and then some rain snow mix. You never know when you live in Ohio. It can change in an instant, but suppose most states are like that.

However, we are slated to have some snow, probably more than we've had all winter beginning tonight, but sounds like just normal winter snow...nothing severe.
