Didn't know what this flower was among my wildflowers in the planters so looked it up by using Google picture scan. This came up as a Malope. A beautiful, hardy annual and an old cottage garden favourite. A splendid and easily grown plant for the border, the flowers, which are useful for cutting, are produced in profusion all Summer. A genus of three species in the mallow botanical family. Of the three species, Malope trifida is often used as an ornamental plant. Says in warmer climates it can be a perennial.
Just an interesting tidbit since I really do not know flowers at all. In re-looking at this photo from last week, I wonder if that is a spider on the second bloom. Did not notice when photographing. hmmm

Well, I returned it because for the price, I didn't really think it was doing many newer things as the machine I already have. Also, complete fail on the pattern top I was making. :( When younger, I use to sew clothes, but has been long time. I now mostly make handbags and other things. Anyway, have a great week. Hoping June slows down. At my age, not needing the months to fly by. lol

Flowers from the daughter. They're cut flowers in a jar with a bird nest on top with a little bird. I thought so unusual and the flowers are beautiful. Hope all are having a good week.
