Samuel's story is from infancy. His mother, Hannah, could not have children. And as she was sad and wept, she made a vow to God. If he would bless her with a son, she would give him to God all the days of his life. He blessed her with Samuel, who was taken to live with Eli the priest. She kept her vow, and was also given two sons and a daughter.
Deuteronomy 23:21-23. “When you make a vow to the Lord your God, you shall not delay to pay it, for it would be sin in you, and the Lord your God will surely require it of you. However, if you refrain from vowing, it would not be sin in you.
