Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 12 12 2023

Some crafting. Crochet around an ornament.

A vintage toy I found when thrifting that will go in my eBay. Old toys are fun to find.

A special fun toy that the grandson gave me couple Christmases ago.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 11 28 2023

Crocheting over the clear ornaments that I've done recently.

Didn't make the knomes or trees, just the crochet ornaments.

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving if you celebrate. Have to admit, so sorry that I'm never sure who celebrates which holidays if outside of the USA.

So now guess it's on to Christmas even though it seems ridiculous to me that we should be celebrating Christmas in mid Summer because I guess my mind is stuck back there. Cannot believe 2023 is going this fast. Since I've retired you'd think it should be going more slowly, but seems to be going way faster. When I worked, the days seemed to drag even though I was busy with kids sports and activities, plus a new baby, and also part of my husband's band that played 4-5 nights a week. Maybe I was just to tired so they seemed to drag. 😄

Above is a words on one of my photos. I use to do graphics, and I'm really rusty so think I'll get back to doing those more since I really don't get out for photography that much anymore.

Have a happy and safe week.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 9 26 2023

This week's scribbles are about Fall. The time of year when everyone is going to the local Orchards and picking...you know it...APPLES. The weather has cooled down enough for turning on the oven and making apple pie, apple dumplings, apple crumb, and/or best of all when a kid; loved caramel apples. The red candied ones were never a favorite of mine. Others loved them.

Link up is open. Welcome to all who come to visit and/or share a link. Photography, Digital Art, Crafting, Thrifting are welcome to share. No selling please. All work must be your own. Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 4 18 2023

Thrifting: This week I scored this cute table for $3.99. Looked it up and it came from At Home store and sells for around $100 plus. It is like new so couldn’t pass it up. Had a couple end tables I was tired of anyway so am getting rid of those.

Second loaf made in the used/new to me bread machine. The receipe that came in the book with the machine was more dense. This one, I used the recipe that I usually use and it could be more dense, but it tasted good.

We've had some pretty sunsets lately. Weather has been in the 80's for last couple weeks, and today it is cold, rainy, and some snow mixed.

Link up is open. Thanks for all who stop by and either link or say hello in the comments. Have a happy week.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 4 11 2023

Not much to scribble about this week. My son and  family took me out to eat for Easter instead of anyone having to cook. Was a fun time. We had lunch and then headed to the local ice cream place since it's open now for the season. Hope all had a nice Easter weekend if you celebrate. Also those who celebrate their own tradition, hope your time was blessed.

My seeds I planted have all pretty much started to sprout. Now, I'm not sure what or when to do something with them as to wheter I repot them before planting outside or just wait until the weather permits planting outside. Usually, it's around Memorial Day. I'm so not a gardener, but if they don't make it, guess I'll resort to buying some annuals. :)

I thrifted a bread machine. It sells for upwards of $100 so at $6.99 I couldn’t pass it up. It’s like brand new. Not sure it was ever really used. I already have a machine that’s older. I like to once in a while make bread because it doesn’t have all the preservatives as in over the counter. Even if I don’t bake it in the machine, it’s handy for all the kneading and preparation and then I bake it in the oven.

Have a happy week. Thanks for visiting and linking up.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 4 4 2023

This week I'm sharing some thrifting, a craft, and some pretty flowers I treated myself.

At the thrift store (not Goodwill, but a cute little thrift store about 40 minues away) they had a 50 cent rack and that's where I picked up the sweaters. The yellow one is Lane Bryant and is new with tags. The other one not, but in nice condition. I also got the cross stitch items there, much more reasonable than at the hobby/craft stores. Can't believe what patterns cost now compared to when I use to do that years ago. The dress pattern, I may never make but go it becausse you can use in crafting projects.

The bunny is a free crochet Amigurumi pattern found on YouTube. Just keeping myself busy. I've always done crochet, and now trying to do some knitting but it's not going so well. Crochet is much easier for me, maybe because I did it first??

If you celebrate Easter, have a nice holiday. Nice to be on this side of the Cross because we know why Jesus had to suffer so much for us. If you don't celebrate, hope you enjoy the holiday weekend.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday LinknUp 11 15 2022

And so it begins where I live in Ohio

I do apologize for last week's lack of a link up. Things got away from me, and actually, I forgot to post.

For this week, I have the snow videos above, and some crafting and bit of thrifting.

Sewed some project bags for my crochet and knitting projects.

Some Thrifting:
A little thrifted tree. Looks in new condition. Pre-lit and couldn't pass up for hallway.

Metal reindeer very cheap. Only needed a ribbon added. Glitter still really good.

This tree branch flowers light up on a 4 hour timer. Couldn't get a good pic of it lit.

Flitter camdles with timers. They were new in box. Not sure why someone would donate but guess just didn't want.

These gold wicker balls were in a bag with gold ribbon. Just thought cute addition to Christmas decor.

Thank you to all who stop by and participate. You are appreciated. Have a great week.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday Link Up 10 25 2022

Note: child photo is provided free from Pexels.com. A real cutie, but not one of mine.

A bit of digital graphics since I really don't have any new photography. Top one is new. Others, I have shared before.

Did some thrifting. Here's latest

Hallmark's vintage Bunnies By The Sea. They're so cute, and look to be well kept. Since I thrift for myself and resale, these two will be sold.

I am amazed that this is the last Pictorial in October. Most of the leaves on my trees are down. Today, I did my last mowing so I could mulch the leaves at the same time. It's been cold with the heat on, but this week, we're in the 70's.

Thank you all for the good thoughts on last week's Pictorial. It's still up in the air, but hopefully gets better as the days go on. All were appreciated.

Have a great week. Link up is open.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday Link Up 8 30 2022

Last week was no fun so I'm hoping this one will be better. Being a widow and now having to do everything to run this household even though it's just me is expensive. Sometimes it makes for sad days without the love of my life. But, last week started rather upbeat. Cleaning and looking forward to maybe a trip to the North bay area with the sisters if finances work out this month. Well, no sooner than that was discussed that my washer broke. I have been lucky that it lasted 14 years, which is more than the lifetime normally, I guess. They can last 10 to 14. As a senior citizen, I am strapped monthly, and even with bit to fall back on that has to last for who knows how long at my age. Long story short my son-in-law and daughter said I could have theirs because my daughter wants new anyway. They don't need a set, but I know they're just offering so I won't have to make a bill on my monthly income. I'm not sure how hubby and I got so lucky with our three. Since their dad passed, they have come so many times to my rescue.

I did check on going to the laundromat. Cannot believe how expensive that has gotten. Don't know how people do that. Costs more monthly than a washer/dryer payment would be. So that was a no for me.

Also, along with the washer breakage, I got notice of Jury Duty. In Ohio, you can put in writing after the age of 75 to see if can be excused. I sent that out, and waiting to hear back. I've done it many times over the years, but just hoping I don't have to, but so be it if they deny. It's up to their discretion.

That's my sob story, and I'm sticking to it. hahaha I really am pretty lucky to even be able to manage this place at my age. I am blessed even with all the trials. Just venting because Razzy is tired of hearing me gripe to him. Now on to Pictorial. lol

Cosmos Flowers. They're pretty, but thinking a no for next season. They pretty much took over and some of the other flowers just didn't make it for long.

Country Cottage Crochet Beanie. Found the pattern at theturtletrunk.com
Tutorial is on YouTube if interested.
Works up easy

Work in progress making matching mittens. Need to do thumb and other mitten

Next, I'm making the set in a pretty blue that I found.

This fingerless glove pattern is from Little Drops of Wonderful on YouTube. Not really too crazy about it so have others to make I like better.

Wishing everyone a great week ahead. Thanks for visiting and linking up. Visit others as time allows if you can.
