Sunday Scripture 3 1 2026

A friend is one who joyfully sings with you when you are on the mountain top and silently walks beside you through the valley. by William A. Word

I am as one mocked of his neighbor,
who calleth upon God, and he answereth
him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.
Job 12:4 KJV

Job stands up for himself. Explains his goodness, his steadfast fear of God and doesn't blame. His persecution is not from doing evil. Job continues to explain what he's about and who he is to his friends who have apparently forgotten. He has not had a lustful eye nor committed adultery, has not been vain nor deceitful, has not rejoiced at other's misfortunes nor wished bad on anyone; has helped the poor; has kept God in his heart because he feared the loss of God. Has considered his fellow man as a brother as they both came from the same place...the womb of their mother so one is no better than the other. Circumstances would only be the differentiating of their lives. He freely gave of what he had been given. Again, he explains that his persecution is not from doing evil.

In the beginning of the book of Job, it is explained that God believes in his servant Job and allows the Devil to tempt him and coerce him from his righteousness, but he is not allowed to kill or harm Job.

The Spirit of God hath made me,
and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.
Job 33:4 KJV

Sunday Scripture Blessing 2 15 2026

Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. I cry out to God Most High, to God, who vindicates me. He sends from heaven and saves me, rebuking those who hotly pursue me--God sends forth his love and his faithfulness. I am in the midst of lions; I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts--men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, let your glory be over all the earth. They spread a net for my feet--I was bowed down in distress. They dug a pit in my path--but they have fallen into it themselves. My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will praise you, Lord, among the nations, I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens, your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, let your glory be over all the earth.

Psalm 57:1-11 When David had fled from Saul into the cave.

Sunday Scripture Blessing 1 4 2026

New Covenant's Sacrifice
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth for the purifying of the flesh. How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause, he is the mediator of the new testament that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:11-15

By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh: And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil consecience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Hebrews 10:20-22

Sunday Scripture Blessing 12 21 2025 ~ LOVE

A baby is born, a son is given, and along with his birth comes the gift of Love. Love one Another. That gift has been given and unwrapped so cherish it, and with that gift the promise of forgiveness; once and for all.

Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for this it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him. And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Matthew 3:1-3,11,13-17

The Light had come into the World

Not height, Not Depth, Not any Creature shall be able to separate us from the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior

Sunday Scripture 12 14 2025 ~ Advent Joy

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross; despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that they might be glorified. Isaiah 61:3

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:2-4

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13

Sunday Scripture Blessing 11 23 2025

David's Charge to Solomon

1 Kings 2-4

When the time drew near for David to die, he gave a charge to Solomon his son. "I am about to go the way of all the earth," he said. So be strong, act like a man, and observe what the Lord your God requires. Walk in obedience to him and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go and that the Lord may keep his promise to me: "If your descendants watch how they live, and if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel."

Sunday Scripture Blessing 11 9 2025

Rescribbling a post from Job. He is one of my favorite books of the Bible. I often hear the phrase, "If only I had the patience of Job?" Is not that true on some days?

I am as one mocked of his neighbor,
who calleth upon God, and he answereth
him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.
Job 12:4 KJV

Job stands up for himself. Explains his goodness, his stedfast fear of God and doesn't blame. His persecution is not from doing evil. Job continues to explain what he's about and who he is to his friends who have apparently forgotten. He has not had a lustful eye nor committed adultery, has not been vain nor deceitful, has not rejoiced at others misfortunes nor wished bad on anyone; has helped the poor; has kept God in his heart because he feared the loss of God. Has considered his fellow man as a brother as they both came from the same place...the womb of their mother so one is no better than the other. Sunday Scripture Blessing 10 5 2025

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed: we are perplexed, but not in despair. Persecuted but not forsaken. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment worketh for far more exceeding and external weight of glory. Therefore, I say unto you take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink nor yet for your body what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat and the body more than raiment? 2 Corinthians 4 and Matthew 6

Happy first Sunday in October everyone.

Everywhere I go, I see mums, pumpkins and Fall decorations. Fall is in full swing. Soon the leaves will be falling everywhere. So far since our weather in Ohio has been extra warm, I'm not sure we will get the explosion of Fall colors that we normally do.

Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 2 20 22

 God's Final Word: His Son

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his beings, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he inherited is superior to theirs.

The Son Superior to Angels

For to which of the angels did God every say, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father"? And again when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, "Let all God's angels worship him." In speaking of the angels he says, "He makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire." But about the Son he says, Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy."

Hebrews 1:1-9

Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 2 6 2022

The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing.  Zephaniah 3:17 AMP

It is Friday night, and I'm getting this ready tonight instead of Saturday night. I hope all have weathered all the storms. As we were getting the dumping of snow, I heard there were tornado warnings in some areas so hopefully, those did not happen.

Welcome to February.

We welcomed it with 12 inches or more of snow. A sweet young man came on his four wheeler this morning and plowed my drive. I live out from town so I usually get the big drifts around my house. I could barely skinny out to let my pupper Razzy do his business. He wanted to run right back in with all the snowing, freezing rain and sleet. But, we made it, and the weather is much quieter tonight as I type this.

I'm ready for Spring!!

Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 1 23 2022

Some thorny plants...same as people....grow beautiful flowers and some just thorns. There is the potential for all to grow the good if one just listens and tries to understand.

But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while; for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and undersandeth it; which, also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Some commentary of the meaning taken from Elliot

(22) He also that received seed among the thorns.—See Note on Matthew 13:19. Here there is no over-rapid growth, and there is some depth of earth. The character is not one that wastes its strength in vague emotions, but has the capacity for sustained effort. The evil here is, that while there is strength of purpose, there is not unity of spirit. The man is double-minded, and would fain serve two masters. The “care of this world” (the word is the root of the verb “take no thought” in Matthew 6:25), the deceitfulness of earthly riches—cheating the soul with its counterfeit shows of good—these choke the “word” in its inner life, and it becomes “unfruitful.” There may be some signs of fruitfulness, perhaps the “blade” and the “ear” of partial reformation and strivings after holiness, but there is no “full corn in the ear.” In St. Luke’s words, such men “bring no fruit to perfection” (Luke 8:14). To the simpler root-forms of evil in St. Matthew, St. Mark adds “the lusts (or desires) about other things”—i.e., the things that are other than the true life—and St. Luke, “the pleasures of life” to which wealth ministers, and for the sake of which, therefore, men pursue it.

Praying to be listening to the right words, and finding understanding.

Sunday Scripture Blessings 1 9 2022

When the Lord divided Canaan among the tribes of Israel, Levi received no share of the land. God said to him simply, "I am thy part and thine inheritance," and by those words made him richer than all his brethren, richer than all the kings and rajas who have ever lived in the world. And there is a spiritual principle here, a principle still valid for every priest of the Most High God. from A W Tozer book.

Early on with new religion (acceptance of God), there is a hunger, a want. To keep that would be great. How do I do that? I have become mundane and sometimes even have been letting doubt creep in. I remember the early days, the longing to know more, to gain knowledge. Maybe as Tozer says, it is a simple as God Love. Maybe trying to make it more complicated is my problem Accept is as it is ~ LOVE. pb 4-21-2020

"God is thy part and thine inheritance". God is our richness ~ all we need.

Happy Sunday, and so far so good with the New Year for me. Except, so many around are getting the Covid. I pray continually for God to just wipe it out, and seems it is getting milder cases. Prayers it is on its way out.
