Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 1 24 2023

Just scribbling about some birds.

Sorry for the quality of the pictures. It was through the window, and my camera, I think, is on its last legs. It's a DSL that I've had for quite a few years and doesn't seem as crisp as when it was new, and the lens seems to lag some.

Anyway, I think I'm finally getting a small variety of birds at the feeder other than just the regular house birds. Last year none so was reluctant to even put it back up. I haven't seen a cardinal in ages, but there she was.

We are a white wonderland right now, and thank goodness without all the wind, I'm not as drifted. I was able to get out of my drive today to run to the store for a few things. I wasn't desperate, but needed a couple of things. I'm so ready for Spring.

Thought I'd get back to doing some graphics, but when doing the one above, I've forgotten a lot of what I use to know, and that's a simple one. Oh well. :)

Happy Tuesday.

Link up is open. Thanks for popping by this week.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 1 20 2023

Softly blows the breeze
that whispers through the trees
As snowflakes fall,
each unique shape circles around
and eventually make it to the ground
As one by one they pile atop another

As the whisper turns to a GROWL
the snowflakes dance and swirl
painting the trees and landscape a lucious white
as fast and furious as a painter's brush
using the world as his canvas ~ and he names it
'Blizzard'

This I don't want for this Winter. That is why I have turned "LET IT SNOW" into "LET IT NOT!"

After all the week of snow, we now have mild weather. Hoping that can stay until Spring. Mother Nature needs to make up her mind.

Prayers for all that are in the flooding on the West Coast. My son and family are in California, but he says not really where they live. Also, the grandson is North of California, and he says they're not having lots of rain. So sad.

On another note, hope so far 2023 is treating you well. I am such a pessimistic person and I have turned that into my norm. I had to laugh because last week, I decided I need to not be that. Be thankful for each day as it comes, and stop the worrying. Well, I was driving in my car when I thought that, I even said it out loud t myself. And when I got home, I asked the grandson to put softener salt in for me in the garage basement. He started to then came out and said Grandma, I think you have a problem. Basement was flooded, and sump pump was shot. Still staying positive, but upset no one could come fix it. Well, then the neighbor next door (I live beside a business), saw me pumping out the basement and called to see what was the matter. He and three guys (I call them Earth angels) came over and put in the new pump I had bought, and they also put in my softener salt. I was blessed.

Also, the pump was less than a year old so I called the manufacturer. They gave refernece number to take to store where I bought it. The store then proceeded to tell me I would have to take store credit. I was hoping they would credit the new pump I had bought. The two guys helping me, after some discussion, ended up giving me full refund for the broken pump, and applied it to the one I had bought.
So two more angels on Earth. I asked could I hug them, and I did. Stores don't realize that when returning a faulty product, I don't need money to spend more at their store. After all said and done, I did give the store a good review. 😊

Okay, that's my saga for the first week of the New Year. lol

Link up is open if you'd like to share your photography, graphics, and/or crafts. It will be open until Saturday evening. Thanks all who stop by. I appreciate you.

Also, I have a question....I'm thinking of going back to Wordpress with this link up and wonder if you've done link ups there before. The only drawback is that I don't like that the link ups are on a separate page, and not in view without switching to the link. I'm trying to find out how to work around that if anyone knows. Any thoughts? Would you be willing to link up there. Thanks. Have a great week.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday LinknUp 11 15 2022

And so it begins where I live in Ohio

I do apologize for last week's lack of a link up. Things got away from me, and actually, I forgot to post.

For this week, I have the snow videos above, and some crafting and bit of thrifting.

Sewed some project bags for my crochet and knitting projects.

Some Thrifting:
A little thrifted tree. Looks in new condition. Pre-lit and couldn't pass up for hallway.

Metal reindeer very cheap. Only needed a ribbon added. Glitter still really good.

This tree branch flowers light up on a 4 hour timer. Couldn't get a good pic of it lit.

Flitter camdles with timers. They were new in box. Not sure why someone would donate but guess just didn't want.

These gold wicker balls were in a bag with gold ribbon. Just thought cute addition to Christmas decor.

Thank you to all who stop by and participate. You are appreciated. Have a great week.

Pictorial Tuesday Potpourri Link Up 3 22 2022

March this year came in like a Lion, but a tame Lion compared to years past. Especially memorable was one 30 plus years ago. And a few years prior to that, we had the Blizzard of 1978, which was a not so fun one. We spent three days in a house with twenty or more plus neighbors. We cooked over a fire in a fireplace. Thank heavens where we were had one. We survived, and the snow took weeks upon weeks to melt away.

Six years later, we had blizzard like conditions, when our third little one decided to make an entrance. The wind was howling and the snow was blowing and drifts knee high. My car wouldn't start to get me to the hospital, and even if it had, I could not have gotten out of my driveway. Hubby was on the road so it was up to me and her two brothers. We ended up calling the squad to take me. Their sister made her entrance the next afternoon. This past week our snow blizzard baby celebrated her birthday, but thank goodness we weren't also celebrating blizzard like conditions as well. She has now grown into a lovely young woman who is also a mom to our wonderful grandson.

Our March Baby

So, to say the least, this winter has been very gentle indeed. The Lion must have a cold or sore throat and is not howling here in Ohio like normal for March entrance. The weather has bounced around from 70's to back to freezing, and then Summer type days. Yesterday was in the 70's. Today will be rain and cooler weather and then some rain snow mix. You never know when you live in Ohio. It can change in an instant, but suppose most states are like that.

Sharing my video of  Mr. Bird from this morning..that's what we call the cardinals that have been at the bird feeder lately. Mr. and Mrs. Bird. ~smiles~ so hope you enjoy. I could only capture Mr. Bird today.

Please share some of your photographic moments, a graphic or just an hello. You can throw in some crafting or thrifting too. Hope all are staying warm wherever you live or staying cool in the hot climates. :)

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 1 25 2022

Today's Scribbles are just some randomness from years past as I'm wishing for this weather instead of what is going on outside now. Snow, and more Snow.

I can never believe how fast the months seem to be going. We are almost done with the first month of the New Year. Not much going on in my 'neck of the woods'. Trying to get back into the blogging and crafting mood, but already lazy so far this Winter. bleh!! Lots of movie time with the furbaby, Razzy. He sleeps, I watch. He never seems to notice the TV even if dogs bark in shows.

Anyway, just sharing the past photos, and the snow ones...it looks the same outside right now. Suppose to stop by tomorrow or Wednesday maybe. Fingers crossed because I don't like staying in.

Hope all is great for all you, and thanks for stopping by and sharing what you've been shooting or some throwback photos are good too. Or digiscraping is always fun shares.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 1 4 2022

This is from prior first part of January, but looks the same this year. We have had gloomy, and rainy weather all through the holidays. Rained for a solid week of Christmas and New Years so that didn't bode well for my drains. Nor did it provide photo opportunities so I'm resharing from a prior January.

Hope all are fairing well or actually splendid so far into this new year. Here, seems every day I hear of a neighbor, relative or someone getting Covid. Seems to be all around me so I'm not venturing out too much.

I was excited that all my kids were coming for Christmas for the first time in a few years. But, it did not happen due to all the rains and my drainage problems. Plumbers were called, but so far so much surface water has had to drain off first. Luckily, today was no rain and bit of snow so drains this afternoon are doing better. Anyway, that's my exciting holiday. Even though all the kids didn't get to come at once after all, two of them and family filtered in so I got to visit individally. At my age, and with kids all busy lives and schedules, their visits are a plus.

Have a great week.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 2 9 2021

This week, I woke up to what looked like a winter wonderland, and my blue spruce tree looked like one of those flocked Christmas trees. Had to go to town later, and all along the roads and everywhere, it still looked all white. Even the air looked white. It was one of those rain, sleet, snow mixes that painted everything beautifully. Made the snow that had fallen worth while just to see the sight.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 12 29 2020

Just scribbling about the snowfall, and a fun Christmas present.

A White Chrimas came and snowed all Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but we still didn't get as much as other states. Roads were icy though for traveling, but so pretty with the fresh snow. Today, it is all gone except for just a few samll patches in the yard.

This is the cutest Christmas present I received from my Grandson. It's dark at first, but then lightens up.

Cannot believe this will be my last Pictorial Tuesday post for 2020. 2020 started out okay, but then it went to pot quickly. So hoping and praying that things will turn better in 2021, the Covid will disappear, and life will return to greatness for everyone.

Happy New Year

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 12 22 2020

Playing with learning to do the globe and trying to make falling snow, but seems I probably don't have the updated programs. I have Adobe CS5 and Elements 12, and the tutorials I watch, I don't have all the tools they have or it's me. I do have Adobe Elements 2018, but for some reason my computer will load it, but then it just freezes up.

My blue spruce tree with snow and then I did a posterization on it.

Was going to include a movie of Razzy and me walking in the snow since we had our first decent snow, but Blogger isn't cooperating. Hope everyone who celebrates has a great Christmas this week.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 2 11 2020

Nothing pretty here right now except DREARY. Over the week-end, I lived in an ice house. Everything was completely covered in ice, and the house had a thin layer all over. The door knob on the screen door was covered and couldn't push it so had to be careful not to get locked out. But, of course, if I had, I could just bang on it to get it to push again. Mail box was totally frozen shut so had to bang gently on it to get ice off and then I did put Vaseline on it so it would open for the mail lady the next day because the ice storm was continuing. Then we got snow covered. Happy Winter. :)
