Back to sewing to try to keep busy.

Link up is open. Thank you all for stopping by. Please leave a photography, craft, thrifting link below and/or just say hello in the comments. Love comments and I do read them all. Also, try to visit someone who links up to make new blogging friend or just say hello.

Have a nice Memorial week-end to those who celebrate the loss of our beloved ones who gave it all to protect this country.

My POW is John Conger who is from Columbus Ohio. I do not know him or his family, but adopted  his name to try to continue to bring all the POW's home or ones that were left behind.

You can read John's story here:

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 4 4 2023

This week I'm sharing some thrifting, a craft, and some pretty flowers I treated myself.

At the thrift store (not Goodwill, but a cute little thrift store about 40 minues away) they had a 50 cent rack and that's where I picked up the sweaters. The yellow one is Lane Bryant and is new with tags. The other one not, but in nice condition. I also got the cross stitch items there, much more reasonable than at the hobby/craft stores. Can't believe what patterns cost now compared to when I use to do that years ago. The dress pattern, I may never make but go it becausse you can use in crafting projects.

The bunny is a free crochet Amigurumi pattern found on YouTube. Just keeping myself busy. I've always done crochet, and now trying to do some knitting but it's not going so well. Crochet is much easier for me, maybe because I did it first??

If you celebrate Easter, have a nice holiday. Nice to be on this side of the Cross because we know why Jesus had to suffer so much for us. If you don't celebrate, hope you enjoy the holiday weekend.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 1 31 2023

Tomorrow. The month of February is when a ground hog predicts our future length of Winter. lol It will happen on February 2nd. Our local Ground Hog is called Buckeye Chuck. Then there's one in Pennsylvania called Punxsutawny Phil. I've never kept track to see if his prediction holds true or not. I just know it's too long a time for me until beautiful Spring weather arrives. So far, though our Winter hasn't been too bad. Do any of you have weird weather predictions where you live? haha

Groundhog Day is a popular North American tradition observed in the United States and Canada on February 2. It derives from the Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that if a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day and sees its shadow due to clear weather, it will retreat to its den, and winter will go on for six more weeks; if it does not see its shadow because of cloudiness, spring will arrive early.

By this time, I'm already missing these kinds of days when the little ones did bubbles in the air.

A bed I sewed for Razzy. Made a square for bottom and tubes stuffed with stuffing for the sides then sewed it all together. I used left over material I had so cost was minimal.

One of my recycing bags I make using shirts that no longer fit or ones from the thrift shop. so easy to make. I cut across beneath the collar. Take off the sleeves and use them to make the handles.

Then pair it wih a magnetic shopping list and you're off to the store.

Candy heart background I made. Could use for phone or digiscrapping or cut out center and enclose picture of a cutie pie. Print and enclose in a frame.

Just scribbling some graphics and crafts today. Happy Tuesday and last day of January of the new year. Blessings and good thoughts to everyone who stops by to share a link or a comment.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday Link Up 8 23 2022

The little hummers have been busy lately.

Some flowers we saw on my and Razzy's walk yesterday.

This makes me sad. My tree is turning already which is early. It usually is last to turn. Neighbor's yard has fallen leaves already. Summer doesn't end until next month. I am so not ready for this and what follows.

Hope everyone has a nice, enjoyable week. Thanks for sharing your photography, digiscrapping, crafts, and/or thrifting.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday Link Up 7 26 2020

This was just hanging around in my daughter's flower bed. Not sure if it's alive, and I didn't really want to find out. He was really big.

Some pops of color from the wild flower seeds I sowed this Spring. They're starting to look sickly because it has been so hot and dry in the very high 90's. We did finally get some rain so my grass would revive and I could mow it. I am watching one that I put in one of my planters because I think it's going to be a Sunflower. I'm excited if it is. Hope it makes it.

I seem to learn more in my old age that is strange to me. Over the many years, I've crochet bears, Halloween pumpkins, snowmen, Christmas stockings, etc for my kids. Now, I'm hearing more and more about crocheting what is called Amigurumi. So thought I'd get the needles out again and make one. This is my Owl. Not sure what to name him, but he's cute. My next, I think, will be a Yoda for my very much grown daughter who loves Yoda. I think I'm getting a bit found of him too. lol
Never to late to learn new terms for what I always just called a stuffed animal. 😊

I got the knitting needles back out too to keep my hands busy so they quit wanting to stuff food in my mouth. lol  Not sure what project that will be unless I finish my shawl I started in 2018 when I first tried to learn knitting.

Needs lots more rows.

Happy Tuesday. Please share a link up of your photography, crafts, and/or thrifting. Thanks.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday Link Up 7 19 2022

My son's family found a baby crow that was injured a few weeks ago. They took it to the Bird Sanctuary, and they said we could come back in week or so to see how the bird was doing and gave us passes to tour and visit the birds. Sadly though, we found out when we visited that the bird's wing was too broken and the leg too so it couldn't be fixed correctly and it didn't make it. If he'd made it, once well, my son's family could have been the ones to release it.

Some pictures below from the Sanctuary. Was an interesting place to visit and see all the stories of how the birds got there and their story. Some will probably never leave. We were able get food and the little birds would come sit and eat. So cute. Those will eventually be released back into the wild.

Pictures not great quality. Their cages weren't really in sun but more in shady areas.

This guy below; the Barn Owl was so funny to watch

May have to click twice

I have a video of the little bird they found but I'm not including because so sad to see how hungry it was. The mom is still in the tree with two other babies, but she couldn't help the one that fell because of it's wing and leg. Guess even though it didn't make it, it was better than if it had been left for another animal to kill it since it was defenseless.

On another note, latest craft is a project bag that I made for my crochet/knitting. Pattern was found on Ali's YouTube channel at Little Drops of Wonderful.

Link up is open below. Thanks for visiting.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday Link UP 6 28 2022

This year instead of buying flowers, I thought I'd do seeds. They're finally starting to bloom. Not sure in a planter was a good idea though for the seeds I chose. It has been extremely hot and that doesn't help either. I'll enjoy while I can, and if they don't make it at least I got to see them for a bit. I love the bachelor buttons because you can cut them for in the house.

Latest crafts for my shop at Etsy. The small child's I thought would be a fun one with some Mickey material I had left over. I put things in it just for display purposes on the site.

The Sunflower one is usually a favorite.

The daughter and I went to a garage sale where they where they had sold and were moving to Florida. The lady was practically giving things away. My daughter got some things and a like brand new leather recliner for $20. I'd been wanting this lamp, and she only had $5.00 on it. Those kind of sales are fun.

Hard to believe the next post on here will be after the 4th of July. Hope all have a fun and safe holiday.
