Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 2 6 2022

The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17 AMP

It is Friday night, and I'm getting this ready tonight instead of Saturday night. I hope all have weathered all the storms. As we were getting the dumping of snow, I heard there were tornado warnings in some areas so hopefully, those did not happen.

Welcome to February.

We welcomed it with 12 inches or more of snow. A sweet young man came on his four wheeler this morning and plowed my drive. I live out from town so I usually get the big drifts around my house. I could barely skinny out to let my pupper Razzy do his business. He wanted to run right back in with all the snowing, freezing rain and sleet. But, we made it, and the weather is much quieter tonight as I type this.

I'm ready for Spring!!

And it came to pass in tose days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria. And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, unto Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 11 14 2021

The God Who produced and formed the world and all things in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade shrines.

Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 11 7 2021

The prophet Jeremiah witnessed unimaginable horrors when the Babylonians invaded Jerusalem in 586 BC. Solomon's temple was reduced to ruins, and with it went not only the center of worship but also the heart of the community. The people were left with no food, no rest, no peace, and no leader. But in the midst of suffering and grief, one of their prophets found a reason for hope.

"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed," wrote Jeremiah, "for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness". Lamentations 3:22-23

Still in Ecclesiastes and Samuel for study, and some notes I made:

Be mindful of the creator even in youth as well as the end of our days.
Rejoice in Youth; Enjoy, but do it wisely as in the end GOD will judge the evil of flesh.
Foolish words are no use.
Calm is better than anger.
Someone in charge is not always the wise man. Fools are sometimes in high places.
Folly outweighs wisdom and honour, and when he falls by the way, he shows he is a fool.

Scripture Blessings Link Up 10 17 2021

Samuel's story is from infancy. His mother, Hannah, could not have children. And as she was sad and wept, she made a vow to God. If he would bless her with a son, she would give him to God all the days of his life. He blessed her with Samuel, who was taken to live with Eli the priest. She kept her vow, and was also given two sons and a daughter.

Deuteronomy 23:21-23. “When you make a vow to the Lord your God, you shall not delay to pay it, for it would be sin in you, and the Lord your God will surely require it of you. However, if you refrain from vowing, it would not be sin in you.

The best reason for Hope is God's faithfulness. God is good at all times.

Scripture Blessings Link Up 8 22 2021

So, August is moving right along. Schools here have started; some full back and others going with the split weeks schedule. Praying for all these babies that they can have a great year.

When I was young, and would ask my grandma how she was doing, she'd say, "ah, being visited by one of the ritis boys today." I now know what she meant...well, I did then too, but now I feel it. There's arthritis, bursitis, etc., but this week, I had their cousin sciatica. Have had it before and much worse than this time. Looked up how to treat, and they said walking was the best way so I walked. It was so painful, so I finally claimed healing in Jesus' name. And amazing how the next couple days all the pain was gone. Last time I had sciatica, I was laid up for months, and then had to do physical therapy. Praises how amazing it can be to trust. I know he answers in His time so I was very grateful that it was a short time. 😊

Hope all are faring well, and no major problems. Prayers for all of you, and I appreciate all who stop by to visit or to link up a scripture.

Scripture Blessings Link Up 7 11 2021

I have decided that I will change Sunday Scripture Blessings to just Scripture Blessings, and leave it open all week now instead of just on day. Everything else remains the same.

From my Journal writings in 2015:

The month of March, I've been listening to Jesus talking to his desciples, teaching them the Law, giving them powers, and telling the parables. I was among the crowds that gathered listening to His words in Matthew. We gathered at different cities, we followed along. I was there in Matthew when he said he would die and Peter didn't want to hear it. We followed along as they beat him, and nailed him to that cross. Sadness filled my heart, but I knew it would turn to Joy because he had said why he would go to the cross. For me, and for all.

The words that resonate to me that he said - Matthew 36-40 - LOVE.

There is Love no greater than happened on the cross, and Jesus' sacrifice for us.
