Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday LinknUp 11 15 2022

And so it begins where I live in Ohio

I do apologize for last week's lack of a link up. Things got away from me, and actually, I forgot to post.

For this week, I have the snow videos above, and some crafting and bit of thrifting.

Sewed some project bags for my crochet and knitting projects.

Some Thrifting:
A little thrifted tree. Looks in new condition. Pre-lit and couldn't pass up for hallway.

Metal reindeer very cheap. Only needed a ribbon added. Glitter still really good.

This tree branch flowers light up on a 4 hour timer. Couldn't get a good pic of it lit.

Flitter camdles with timers. They were new in box. Not sure why someone would donate but guess just didn't want.

These gold wicker balls were in a bag with gold ribbon. Just thought cute addition to Christmas decor.

Thank you to all who stop by and participate. You are appreciated. Have a great week.

Put-In-Bay Ohio

Put-in-Bay is a village in Ohio, well known for its wineries, steamboats, stunning water views, and historic sites. Perry's Cave Family Fun Center is a family fun hub with a natural limestone cave, gem mining, a butterfly house, a rock wall, and an educational site for the whole family to learn the history. Heineman Winery is the oldest winery with tasting rooms, cellar tours with super friendly staff, and a worthy visit. South Bass Island State Park is a park with amazing Erie Lake views, family campgrounds, breathtaking views, a fishing pier, picnic areas, children's playground with beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

I do have to say the one wine that we tasted at Heineman winery was so delicious. And, I'm not usually a wine drinker, but I could of had more than a taste. lol

Amazing how far the shadow of that monument went across the lake.

Perry's Monument. Ended up not going up to the top. Maybe next time.

We didn’t end up buying the hats.

Found me a new man lol. Doesn’t he look scared? haha

Me and sisters. Our nephew volunteered to take us old women up there. It’s about three hours away from where I live.

Memory or love lock fence. Didn't know about it so I didn't take a lock or would have done a memory one of my sweet hubby.

No way was I getting in or out of that chair. We could hardly pull my short sister out. She’s only 4’ 10”

Oh, and they had a vintage phone booth where we got ice cream. Didn't check it out to see if usable.

Here's one with the sweet nephew who took us on the trip. He's the son of my youngest sister (on right in yellow).

Thanks for visiting and looking at my wacky photos. Have a great week. Be sure to share what you've been up to photography, crafting, thrifting wise.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday Link Up 8 9 2022

Sitting out on the porch last evening, it was so peaceful and quiet. Razzy and I just enjoyed the Summer night. I love those kind of nights.

So the trying to drop some of this excess weight begins starting with drinking some Lemon water. I saw this idea on a vlog to put lemon slices in a muffing tin, add water and freeze. Had never known about this great idea.

As I was mowing some weeds, I saw this cute one. Reminded me of those pareils or maybe they're call nonpareils? Those cute tiny balls on candy or frosted cookies.

Another from last evening using the pano on my phone.

This is a volunteer that grew below the bird feeder. Looked it up with Google camera and it says Sun Daisy. Love that app for looking things up with a photo.

Strawflower from my seeds It's so cute and does feel like straw. Never had one or knew about them.

Gave my Sunflower some water, and it came back from the wilt. Can't wait to harvest the seeds for next time.

Thank you to those who share your photography, crafts, and thrifting. This is basically a blog for those three so I'm asking please no blogs of other subjects or political or selling blogs. Thanks so much.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday Link Up 7 26 2020

This was just hanging around in my daughter's flower bed. Not sure if it's alive, and I didn't really want to find out. He was really big.

Some pops of color from the wild flower seeds I sowed this Spring. They're starting to look sickly because it has been so hot and dry in the very high 90's. We did finally get some rain so my grass would revive and I could mow it. I am watching one that I put in one of my planters because I think it's going to be a Sunflower. I'm excited if it is. Hope it makes it.

I seem to learn more in my old age that is strange to me. Over the many years, I've crochet bears, Halloween pumpkins, snowmen, Christmas stockings, etc for my kids. Now, I'm hearing more and more about crocheting what is called Amigurumi. So thought I'd get the needles out again and make one. This is my Owl. Not sure what to name him, but he's cute. My next, I think, will be a Yoda for my very much grown daughter who loves Yoda. I think I'm getting a bit found of him too. lol
Never to late to learn new terms for what I always just called a stuffed animal. 😊

I got the knitting needles back out too to keep my hands busy so they quit wanting to stuff food in my mouth. lol  Not sure what project that will be unless I finish my shawl I started in 2018 when I first tried to learn knitting.

Needs lots more rows.

Happy Tuesday. Please share a link up of your photography, crafts, and/or thrifting. Thanks.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday Link Up 7 19 2022

My son's family found a baby crow that was injured a few weeks ago. They took it to the Bird Sanctuary, and they said we could come back in week or so to see how the bird was doing and gave us passes to tour and visit the birds. Sadly though, we found out when we visited that the bird's wing was too broken and the leg too so it couldn't be fixed correctly and it didn't make it. If he'd made it, once well, my son's family could have been the ones to release it.

Some pictures below from the Sanctuary. Was an interesting place to visit and see all the stories of how the birds got there and their story. Some will probably never leave. We were able get food and the little birds would come sit and eat. So cute. Those will eventually be released back into the wild.

Pictures not great quality. Their cages weren't really in sun but more in shady areas.

This guy below; the Barn Owl was so funny to watch

May have to click twice

I have a video of the little bird they found but I'm not including because so sad to see how hungry it was. The mom is still in the tree with two other babies, but she couldn't help the one that fell because of it's wing and leg. Guess even though it didn't make it, it was better than if it had been left for another animal to kill it since it was defenseless.

On another note, latest craft is a project bag that I made for my crochet/knitting. Pattern was found on Ali's YouTube channel at Little Drops of Wonderful.

Pictorial Potpourri Tuesday Link Up 6 7 2022

Photo not mine. It's from Pexels.com

I don't think anyone as a kid didn't have fun with dandelion puffs. Fun little twirls to watch.

Happy June. Link up is open below. Thanks for visiting and sharing your photography, crafting, sewing, and/or thrifting. I haven't been doing much of any of those lately. Remember the new sewing machine? Well, I returned it because for the price, I didn't really think it was doing many newer things as the machine I already have. Also, complete fail on the pattern top I was making. :(  When younger, I use to sew clothes, but has been long time. I now mostly make handbags and other things.

Anyway, have a great week. Hoping June slows down. At my age, not needing the months to fly by. lol
