Pictorial Tuesday 11 28 ~ Some Dahlia Love

Playing with some hues, tones, and textures, etc. and sharing some Dahlia love. Couldn't resist just one more summer flower photo before the snow flying photos begin. So far, we are having above normal temps. Today is in the 50's for late November. I'll take it though. :)

The Dahlia has always been my most favorite photo.

Please share what you've been shooting or making into photographic art.

Sunday Scripture Blessings 11 26 17

Matthew 11:25-30 - At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do. All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Thanks for visiting and sharing a scripture blessing by linking or just in the comment section. Have a great week ahead

Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 11 19 17

Blank journal page that I edited is from Pexels.com where you can find some great free to use photos.
I'm still reading in Matthew as the Christmas season approaches. I plan to read Matthew as well as some of the other New Testament gospels during this time that share the words of Jesus. What are you reading or do you have Advent reading plans that you usually follow?

This, then, is how you should pray:

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
Matthew 6:9-13 NIV

From the Amplified Classic Bible:
Pray, therefore, like this: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed (kept holy) be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven ([e]left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have [f]given up resentment against) our debtors.
13 And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

From the KJV
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Blessings to everyone, and to those who will be celebrating Thanksgiving this week, I hope you have a wonderful day and lots of good food. With God on our side, we can be Thankful every day of the year. Yay!!

I had the pleasure of going to the grand-daughter's school Thanksgiving play (she's the baby of the grandbabies and lives 3 1/2 hours away), and that was a blessing in itself to see all those adorable Kindergarten children so excited to be putting on their play for their parents and grandparents. She remembered all her lines. She was a little pilgrim girl, who shared scripture as well as a poem about a Turkey. She's been excited about it for over a month, and the day finally arrived.

That day, grandpa and I were Thankful for the blessing of her and her sweet nature as well as all those other children that were in the play.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 11 14 17

Since it has gotten more winter/chilly like weather, I haven't been out to photograph any outdoors so thought I'd try some still life from above and lighting. I didn't fuss much so wasn't anything dramatic. I was trying to arrange light in the ones up above for photo shadows, etc. The last one, I just decided to do some editing in Elements and did the Getting Frosty because the whole yard has been frosty white of a morning lately.

The pine cones are from my neighbor's pine tree courtesy of falling into my yard. When I saw them, I thought fun photo prop and also some decorating for Christmas.

You're next and look forward to all those who share here at Pictorial Tuesday. Thanks for linking.

Sunday Scripture Blessings 11 12 17

Matthew 1:1-16
Joseph ~ descendent of Abraham, Jesse, and King David.
Joseph ~ husband of Mary, Mother of Jesus
14 generations Abraham to David
14 generations David to exile to Babylon
14 generations exile to the Messiah
Born in Bethlehem in Judea. Mary and Joseph take Jesus and escaped to Egypt for fear of King Herod. After Herod death, Mary and Joseph go to Israel, but for fear of Herod's son, they go to Galilee to Nazareth.  And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet, "Out of Egypt I called my son."

When I use to read the genealogy of Jesus, I had no clue. But, now after reading through the Bible, and I am re-reading Matthew, which starts with the genealogy of Jesus, I was 'like, wow, I really do recognize these names'. How much more interesting the Bible becomes when we study in-depth. It is like reading a very interesting novel.

As we head into Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays, I will be reading the New Testament again to relive the birth of Jesus. (The story that never gets old). Joseph and Mary's story. When reading His story, it is always bittersweet to me. We love innocent babies and the imagine of that sweet child, and his life because we are on the back side of his story. It elates and also saddens at the same time. When reading it, I root every time for a different ending. I root for understanding of the man who walked this earth among men. I'm heartened because I know that baby is in control. He is IMMANUEL ~ GOD WITH US.

I look forward to the Scripture Blessings and hope you will be blessed by what other's share. Thank you for linking. You can now link from Instagram, it says on the Inlinkz site.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 11 7 17

It took our tree longer this year to start turning, but it is now a golden yellow and the leaves are falling quickly. We've already had a bit of snow, and the gloomy rains of the Fall season, but sprinkled in are some sunshiny days still and bit warmer days.

Hasn't been much to take pictures of except the Fall colors. Hope everyone is having a great November so far.

The sun was shining on the tree line and making it look very golden. The picture doesn't really do justice to how pretty it was.

You're next for sharing what you've been shooting, what photos you've been manipulating into artwork or graphics that you've made. Photos do not have to be recent...just share a favorite photo. Thanks for linking up.

Sunday Scripture Blessings 11 5 17

The way of the wicked
is an abomination unto the LORD;
but he loveth him that followeth
after righteousness. Proverbs 15:9

  • A soft answer turneth away wrath
  • The tongue useth knowledge
  • A wholesome tongue is a tree of life
  • He that regardeth reproof is prudent
  • The lips of the wise disperse knowledge
  • The prayer of the upright is his delight
  • The LORD loveth him that followeth after righteousness
Following is the link for those who would like to share a scripture blessing. Thank you. I look forward to visiting each one, and hope that those that link will visit at least one other linking scripture blog and give a hello. Have a blessed week ahead.
