2 Corinthians 4:16 KJV
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16 AMP (Amplified Bible)
Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day.
Hebrews 10:20 KJV
By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh.
The high priest sacrificed once a year for sins. Jesus' sacrifice was once only for all sins. Leaving us the Holy Spirit and no more need for the priest sacrifices as the Holy Spirit remains with us as testimony to the sacrifice of Jesus and for our salvation. We now have a way into the holiest of all made manifest through Jesus' blood.

The words are so simple. Just a few things that sound so easy to do. But we must constantly correct ourselves in order to accomplish these goals.
ReplyDeleteSo true. Thanks for sharing. :)
DeleteVerse 16 puts that responsibility on us - to renew our inward man daily - for the glory of God. That can only be accomplished as we keep close fellowship with our Lord. Isn't it wonderful that He doesn't create us and forget about us? He desires that close communion with us! What a privilege!
ReplyDeleteI just love the insights from the Amplified version of that verse! Progressively for instance. It gives me hope that bit by bit as I yield to God I am being transformed!
ReplyDeleteThe verses you shared are timely with me. I seem to be having one physical ailment after the other to which my daughter joked and said, "mom, you're falling apart!". lol. But inward I am being renewed!
ReplyDeleteI have that Micah verse on a plaque right over my writing space on my desk.
Thanks for sharing and as always, thanks for hosting this link-up.
I think I will share Michah 6:8 with my kids...being merciful and kind would help prevent many of their squabbles. And remember to be love and honor God would really help them as well. Thank you for hosting the link up!
