We had spent a Spring day clearing brush along the fence line so when it was ready, the grandson came and helped grandpa burn it. We spent most of the day after it started watching it burn down so as to not let it get carried away. It wasn't that huge of a fire, and no wind so was a nice sunny day to be outside. Razzy enjoyed it too as he got to run loose a bit even though he drags his leash. Otherwise, he tends to think he has too much freedom. We tried letting him off leash but since he's always been leash trained, after a few tries of it, he abused his new privilege by running after a bird and right across the road so no more Mr free guy for him. :)
Look forward to your sharing what you've been shooting.

This would be a very fun day for my adult sons - they have always loved to play with fire! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of work but nice when everyone pitches in. My grown boys love to burn brush piles too....especially in the evenings when it really shows up! Must be a guy thing! heehee! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteBrush certainly piles up quickly in summer! It's good you took safety precautions while burning it. Grandsons are so helpful!
