Sunday Scripture Blessings with Link Up 7 22 18

Now it happened after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, that the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' servant (attendant), saying, "Moses My servant is dead; now therefore arise [to take his place], cross over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel. I have given you every place on which the sole of your foot treads, just as I promised to Moses. From the wilderness [of Arabia in the south\ and this Lebanon [in the north], even as far as the great river, the river Euphrates [in the east], all the land of the Hittites (Canaan), and as far as the Great [Mediterranean] Sea toward the west shall be your territory. No man will [be able to] stand before you [to oppose you] as long as you live. Just as I was [present] with Moses, so will I be with you; I will not fail you or abandon you. Be strong and confident and courageous, for you will give this people as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers (ancestors) to give them.
Joshua 1:1-6

Happy Sunday and time for sharing a Sunday Scripture Blessing. Prayers that all had a great week, a refreshing week-end, and life is treating you well.

~hugs 'n blessings~

  1. I have been coming across the verse that mentions being strong and steadfast quite a bit these past few weeks. I like when the Lord sends me messages like that. I just keep seeing them until I have figured through what it is he is trying to teach me. Strong and steadfast or strong and both verses he is always with me.

  2. Having just witnessed a situation in which the reins of a ministry were handed off to another, and the whole situation was a crash and burn, this story of Joshua arising to the challenge and leading that rag-tag group of wanderers (many of whom had probably known him since birth!) stands as a monument to the work of God in that young man's life. Strong and courageous hardly seem sufficient adjectives!

  3. Thank you for such a beautiful reminder - be strong and courageous. God does not want us to be "Shrinking Violets"!

  4. This verse is courageous...claim what is ours....

Nothing better than a scribbled comment or just a Hello. I look forward to them all..~Have a great week~ Please note that since if I reply to your comment here, you won't know unless you keep traveling back, so I try to always visit anyone who comments and leave a comment on their blog plus I like visiting anyway and making new blog friends. Have a great scribbling day. :)
