I've learned to love reading the genealogies in Scripture simply because they demonstrate to me (every single time!) that God is interested in each individual. My husband and I just finished reading II Chronicles and are now in Ezra--so much good history, and those long lists of barely-pronounceable names which make reading out loud a real challenge!
ReplyDeleteI have always had a bit of trouble with these verses. It's just so boring that I end up skipping through it. It is, however, interesting to see how God got Jesus born to Mary.
ReplyDeleteGenealogies. Yes, the importance of every individual!
ReplyDeleteGod's grace is evident in the list of unlikely characters that we see in His genealogy. Thanks for sharing this!
ReplyDeleteSo interesting that you and I both posted something about ancestry this week (in completely different contexts). Thank you for the printable.
