Sunday Scripture Blessings 8 5 18

Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Matthew 3:15

It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone; but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of GOD.  Matthew 4:4

Doing a study of Jesus' words only. Have been thinking for a while that I would like to know just what Jesus said as he walked the earth starting with St. Matthew. His words are powerful, and I've read the entire Bible, but now I want to know only what Jesus spoke. So for a bit, most of my scripture on Sunday will be passages that only Jesus spoke.

Happy Sunday in this first Sunday Scripture Blessings link up for August. The link up is below if you'd like to share a Scripture Blessing. (using the old version of Inlinkz)

Note: Inlinkz has gone to a new version, and with that version, as like other websites, they will ask for verification of email in order to link up. This is to ensure that there is no one using a made up email in order to visit and link up spam. The email is only seen by Inlinkz for verification and it is only linked to this blog's link up party. I'm basically the only one that can see your verification, and when I contacted Inlinkz, they assure the email is used in no other way. That has been the norm all along with Inlinkz, but now they are asking for email verification. I hope you will continue to link up with Sunday Scripture Blessings and Pictorial Tuesday. If you have objections, please let me know concerns so I can relate them to Inlinkz.  For now, we can continue to use the old version of Inlinkz so that is the version below. Please let me know if you've encountered sites using the new version and concerns you have about having to verify your email address before you can add your link. If many aren't that upset about it, then I will start using the new one or abandon my link ups if it means losing those who have always visited and shared a link.

Thank you for sharing a Scripture Blessing:

  1. All Scripture is given by inspiration, but the words of Jesus always seem so powerful. I look forward to reading what you have to share. The email verification wouldn't stop me from linking.

    1. Thank you Julie. Had been thinking about what Jesus actually said without all the leading up to, which is important for his story, but so many things I've heard that Jesus said and has me wondering if there is actuality to things people tell me even though I have read the Bible before.

  2. I'm fine with the new version--and I have no illusions about my level of "privacy" in this world of GDPA and HIPPA regulations. :-)
And I think the image you've shared on your blog header is just lovely.
    Blessings to you!

    1. Thank you. Since those on Blogger don't get notification of replies to comments, I left a comment on your blog about the header picture. I agree with illusions about privacy as when I've perused the net, it is amazing what information is out there on myself as well as other people. Some correct and some not so correct. If we don't put it out there, other institutions do.

  3. The email verification is fine. It was just a surprise when it popped up as I hadn't encountered it before. It hasn't come up for me on other link ups yet. And I love seeing your real name on your blog-but I'll always think of you as PeaBea! Our granddaughter that is due this winter is going to be named Bea.

    1. Awe, I love what she will be named. Since there are a couple other Peabea's around the net, I thought maybe I should put my name on my photos instead of Peabea.

  4. I had no issues with the new version of the link up. My son gave me a book recently - "Jefferson's Bible". It is a Bible compiled by Thomas Jefferson that focuses on only scripture that Jesus spoke. I am enjoying it a lot.

  6. The scriptures in church today had to do with Jesus being the bread of life. I love when God gifts me with scripture from so many different places. It makes me really understand it.

  7. First of all, your new header picture is absolutely striking! How interesting that you are studying Jesus' words! I've I've been inspired by a sermon to study the questions Jesus asked. Finally, I have no problems with the link up regulations. As stated by Michele, I have no illusions regarding my privacy online. Thank you for your thoughtful post and for taking care of us!
