Genesis 6:7-8 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
This Fall and Winter season so far has been rain. We have usually had a good snow by now, but it has only been rain. I'm not complaining as the temps in the 40's and 50's with the rain has been nice; at least for where we live because with the latest we did not get flooded. I'm sure we will not escape the snowy season, but when it rains our place has a mild flooding. This means no laundry can be done, no dishes, limited showers, and limited plumbing is available. During these times, I do reflect on Noah and how the first end of our population must have been. I cannot imagine water covering the entire Earth. We have seen some pretty horrible flooding in areas, and the havoc it brought, but the entire Earth. Praise Jesus that God had a change of heart for without his change of heart and the covenant of the Rainbow promise, we would not be here to enjoy this wonderful place they call Earth. The floods receded, Noah and his family were blessed, and God promised to never destroy again by water. Genesis 9:13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
Thanks for visiting the first Sunday Scripture Blessings link up of our New Year. The link up is below for sharing a Scripture Blessing. It can be a scripture from any of the Bibles of your choice. Mine above is from the King James Version. I started the new year reading from my Daily Wisdom for Women. It's a 365 Day Devotional Bible by Barbour Bibles. It shares scripture from the Old Testament, the New Testament, and also a wisdom literature from sometimes Psalms, Proverbs, etc.
