As I have started reading again through the Bible, I am in Genesis, and currently the story of Joseph whose brothers sold him because of jealousy. I am to the part where God has blessed Joseph and brought him out of his dire situation, and he has reunited with and forgiven his brothers. Joseph is a good example of forgiveness.
In the New Testament, I am in Matthew 13.
13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, should be converted, and I should heal them.
Time for sharing a scripture blessing. Thank you.

So many great lessons for us in the life of Joseph!
ReplyDeleteThankful to be able to exalt the God of my salvation today among a group of rowdy pre-schoolers!
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to read that Scripture here this morning and now I will be humming the old song :)
ReplyDeleteThe verse from Matthew serves as a goo reminder to check our own heart, eyes and ears. I am interested in your technique of reading through the Old and New Testaments at the same time. I like that method! May have to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading through the Bible again as well, slowly, not trying to rush through it in a year.
ReplyDeleteI love the story of Joseph - he was such a great example! And your scripture is a reminder of just how much we have to be thankful for every day. Our God is good.
