Why there was no Sunday Scripture Blessings last week:
For those that have come to Peabea Scribbles over the years, you may or may not know that I married my husband when I was 17 and he was 19. Fifty-five years we have been together until last weekend. I lost my best friend, my confidant, my fishing buddy and all around buddy in life, my problem solver, and the person who has taken care of me and the kids all these years, and the love of my life. He was here by my side and in an instant, he was gone.
I married an 'on the road musician' when I was 17 and he was 19. (I know lots thought it was a 'have to' like some back in the day, but it wasn't, we just wanted to be married), who then wore so many hats like technical illustrator for a bit, music lessons - he loved talking doing anything music, and in the end he was self employed truck owner/operator.
With my husband, you never knew what direction we would be going, but it was always a fun, even if a bit nerve-wracking time with him. To know him, was to like him because he loved to make and have fun. He taught each kid an instrument, and insisted they also learn a different one in school. He and I also played 5 nights a week in the band prior to the kids, and we had a family band for years, and years. Those years wound down, the nest became empty, so it was off to the lake and camping for me and him. After that, we have enjoyed the last five or six years just retired and a slow, stay at home life with the popcorn, tv, etc. It will be different, but I will be okay. He taught me how to be okay.
Thank you for all who stop by and share a Scripture Blessing. This is the first trying Linky Tools so if any concerns, let me know and hopefully, it will work okay. Have a fun week ahead, and
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.
