Sunday Scripture Blessing 3 29 2026

 

Happy Palm Sunday as we head toward coming to the other side of the Cross on Easter. Thankful that I'm on this side of the Cross and aware of why Jesus came and to die for us. 

Blessings

The Lepers had a serious, painful desease. How grateful they must have been for the relief of healing even if they didn't voice it. How much better to have said thank you, and be appreciative. We should be mindful of the large and the small things in life that we are grateful for. Most come from Jesus even when we may not realize it. Others may come from family or friends. Be grateful of their kindness, and say thank you. They do kind things because they love you same as Jesus does.

Thankful for God's son who came, who died on the cross for me. Amazing thought.

Sunday Scripture 3 15 2026

This was the real light, the light that comes into the world and shines on all mankind. The word was in the world and through God made the world through him, yet the world did not recognize him. He came to his own country, but his own people did not receive him. Some however did receive him and believed in him so he gave them the right to become God's children.

 Correlation with the Passover:

Jesus came as the blood for us the same as the Israelites who were told to spread blood on the doorposts in order to be saved.

Sunday Scripture Blessing 2 1 2026

 

"For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs." Zephaniah 3:17 NLT

Look at all the promises packed into this one verse of scripture! God is with you. He is your mighty savior. He delights in you with gladness. He calms your fears with His love. He rejoices over you with joyful songs. Wow! What a bundle of hope is found here for the believer. Like a mother attuned to her newborn baby's cries, so is your heavenly Father's heart for you. He delights in being your Father. He knows when the storms of life are raging all around you. He senses your need to be held close and for your fears to be calmed. It is in those times that He is for you a Prince of Peace, a Comforter. He rejoices over you with joyful songs. Can you imagine that God loves you so much that you cause Him to sing? God sings over you. And the songs He sings are joyful. He loves you with an unconditional, everlasting love. Face this day knowing that your God is with you. He calms you. And He sings over you. As Ecclesiastes says, we know not the works of God. Thank you, God for working always in our world even though we know not the plan. We have confidence in your daily guidance. Amen.

Sorry I missed posting a Sunday Scripture last Sunday as I went away because of the weather/snowfall that was predicted for where I live in case we lost power. Thankfully, we did not. We did get dumped a lot, but not near what others had, and are still having. I can say that I'm so over Winter at this point. I guess we have been spoiled by the calmer Winters we have been having for the last 7 or eight or so years. I hope everyone has stayed safe wherever you live. Prayers for those that are still without power in the Southern US states and apparently more weather is headed their way.

In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day
GENESIS

Among His firsts was to create our day. Each day can be a beautiful new beginning to awake fresh and renewed. No matter what the day, God's promises are with us throughout. Leaning on God each day for understanding, renewal, and guidance no matter what the day brings is a great way to enjoy the day.

Who doesn't love watching the sunrise. I know that I do. I've read that some people have a tradition on New Year's morning of getting up early to watch the sunrise for not only a new refreshing day, but for a new refreshing year. Had never thought of that, but what a great way that would be to watch God's world come alive, and say prayers for the New Year. And there's always something special about a Sunrise service.

Thank you, Father for each new daily Sunrise, and for this Sunday you called a day of rest. I pray for all to have rest; especially in these trying times. I pray for all to have the peace which passes all understanding that you give. In Jesus' name. AMEN

I cannot believe we are already 3/4 of the way through January. Time sure does fly by these days. Needs to slow down for this old lady. lol Stay warm if you're where the weather is to get really cold like where I am. However, I know there are places much colder. Have a happy Sunday and week ahead.
