Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 8 21 18 Visitor

Sadly, we hardly see the Butterflies at our house anymore like we use to. I was out weeding my flower bed and was so excited to see this one fluttering along on my flowers. He was so busy having his drinks that he didn't even notice or did I bother him. So, off I went to grab a camera. He was still there when I came back and stayed for a bit of a photo shoot. I remember as a kid seeing so many of them, but lately I do rarely see them fluttering about. The field beside us for a few years had milkweed and then I did see more, but they have now leveled that field for use and the milkweed is gone. I need to plant some flowers that attract better or some milkweed. Such a beautiful little creature of nature.

Time to share what you've been shooting with Pictorial Tuesday.

  1. It's so hard to capture butterflies and you got a good one there!

    1. Thank you. I was glad it stayed a while as they usually flit away quickly.

    1. Hi Sharon...thanks for visiting. I thought it was a fun effect. It's already loaded in Adobe Photoshop and takes little manipulating for effect.

    1. No, I wish I could draw and paint; I admire those that do. It's a filter in Adobe Photoshop. :)

  5. Gorgeous photos! I also love seeing butterflies and happily we have some wild milkweed in our nearby fields, so they still fly by often. They also like my backyard roses.

    1. Hi Pat...thanks for visiting. I use to have Roses, and never sure what to plant that attracts the butterflies. I keep looking for Honeysuckle because I think they like that. :)

  6. Being surrounded by butterflies in the fields is one of my early years' memory. I hope to recreate something like that in our yards for the butterflies. Love your butterfly photos, especially the last one. Flutter, flutter.

    1. Thanks Kelleyn..I posted about the header photo. It's from when I first ever flew in my late 60's to California, and my son and DIL took me to see the Pacific Ocean and this lighthouse. :)
