Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 9 12

I APOLOGIZE to those who came to link up with Pictorial Tuesday. The inlinkz link wasn't working and not sure why. I put in a ticket and it has been fixed. I also apologize to those who did come and get their link in and then it was eliminated. If you still want to link, there is still time as I have extended it, but if not, I sincerely hope you will return next Tuesday.

Our local State Park Lake doesn't have much in the way of beautiful scenery, but people have always enjoyed camping, boating, and fishing as well as walking the trails and other activities of a State Park. This day, hubby and I were fishing, but as always, I take along my camera. I sometimes use my phone camera, but being outside just isn't the best for seeing the screen on a warm Summer's day so this day I took along my older digital.

I was surprised to see what the camera saw that I didn't until I came home and downloaded the photos to the desktop. On the bottom photo, I see that there are a couple of guys fishing on the bank. We were out in the boat quite a way away, and I could hear them, but not see them so clearly. However, my zoom on my camera did a great job of seeing them in the background when I was trying to take a photo of these two birds. So fun what the camera sees vs our eyes.

It was a great day to be outdoors on the water even if the fish weren't really biting. Some of my first dates with my hubby some 54 years ago was his introducing me to fishing. We have gone ever since. I ended up even putting my own worm on the hook after some years; especially when our sons were young because the hubs had enough with helping two little boys. I've taken fish off, but only will take a catfish off if I have a heavy glove.

Now that's my fishing story, and I'm sticking to it. Also, might as well say the one fish I caught was humongous.....(fish tale there). It was nice, but not huge. haha

So, that was our Lake Day last week-end, and some of my photos for the week. Looking forward to what you've been up to shooting and hopefully can share with Pictorial Tuesday.

  2. I've never caught my own fish, unless you count catching goldfish out of a tank, but I do know how to gut and clean a fish! :)

    1. You make me smile...catching goldfish out of a tank. :) I've never cleaned a fish, but some I do like to eat. My father-in-law you to catch and keep and he and my mother-in-law would cook them at the campsite. Fun days. Nice to see your visit. ~hugs~

    1. No one in my family fished or camped when I was growing up, but my hubby's family did so it was fun to be introduced to that relaxing world. I love just being out on the water whether I catch a fish or not. Thanks for visiting. ~hugs~

  4. It looks like a nice place to spend a day fishing. Fishing is not one of my hobbies I do not have the patience to wait for the fish to sink, but one day in the lake like that I would like to.
    regards

  5. Beautiful! I grew up on a lake, so my sould craves the energy that comes from water! Sadly, the only water action I am seeing right now is rain.
