Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 2 25 18

2 Corinthians 4:16 KJV
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

2 Corinthians 4:16 AMP (Amplified Bible)
Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day.

Hebrews 10:20 KJV
By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh.

The high priest sacrificed once a year for sins. Jesus' sacrifice was once only for all sins. Leaving us the Holy Spirit and no more need for the priest sacrifices as the Holy Spirit remains with us as testimony to the sacrifice of Jesus and for our salvation. We now have a way into the holiest of all made manifest through Jesus' blood.

ACT justly
LOVE mercy
WALK humbly
with Your God
Micah 6:8 NIV ~ He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Micah 6:8 AMP ~ He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God?

Sunday Scripture Blessings 2 18 18 LOVE

It is with such a heavy heart that I even begin to post a Sunday Scripture Blessing after the sad week that just passed. A week that was suppose to be filled with Love as we have celebrated every February for years, was marred by Evil.

Two of our police officers in a town just 40 minutes from where I live were ambushed and killed when they answered a domestic call. The outpouring and Love from all around the state and others was seen on local television as we watched the processions and all the thousands that came to pay respect and honor the ones who serve and protect.

Then a few days later, another horrific school shooting. And once again, we go around that same loop of blame and how we can approach any resolve to this issue. Everyone seems to have opinions, but no solutions.

Jesus before he went to the cross offered a solution. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and Love your neighbor as yourself.

As simple as that...LOVE one another.

But, sadly, as scripture also tells us:
  • A good man brings good things out of the Good stored up in his heart.
  • An evil man brings Evil.
  • The mouth speaks what the heart is full of. (apparently, actions speak volumes of what the heart is full of)
  • A good heart doesn't judge.
I know God has answers, but even as a Christian, this week has been heartbreaking and full of many questions. Prayers for all those children whose lives were needlessly thrown away by someone who was apparently full of hate. I don't know his agenda and the bible tells me that I'm not to judge. So, I offer prayers for him also, hard as that is right now. But, I know there is still good in this world and hope in this world. All those who poured out so much love to the slain officers' families, and those who showed up to support the families of those students is proof. Some came from far and wide even though they didn't know the officers to show support. There is still Love. And with that, we know that evil cannot win in the end.

Her Future

When she rushed out the door, she didn't know this would be the day. Her life would change.
Not that day, but her future she had seen.
A fleeting glance, but the jump of her heart made her want more.
But for now, she would just settle to walk away.
The vision stayed, but faded after a few.
A wave and a hi from a yellow convertible.
Four years later, she remembered that day.
A chance encounter, and her future she met.
She married the guy from the yellow convertible.

A Valentine Story

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up ~ 2 13 18 Cloud Images

You know how when you're out in the Summer and you look up to the clouds to see if you can find any shapes?

Below is what we saw on a Summer's day a few years back when we were out boating and looked up. Just wondering if you see an image in the photos that I took that day?

Thanks for stopping by Pictorial Tuesday Link Up. You're next for sharing. :)

Sunday Scripture Blessing Link Up 2 11 18 and a Valentine gift

When my grandson was little, I babysat him and he spent a lot of time with me. I loved the little daisy weeds and clover flowers that he would always pick and give to me. We would put them in a vase to share for however long they stayed open.

Luke 7:24-28
After John's messengers left, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swayed by the wind? If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear expensive clothes and indulge in luxury are in palaces. But what did you to out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. This is the one about whom it is written:
I will send my messenger ahead of you,
who will prepare your way before you.
I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."

Notes from Luke 6:
  • A good man brings good things out of the Good stored up in his heart.
  • An evil man brings evil.
  • The mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
  • A good heart doesn't judge.
  • Build on a good foundation.
  • Follow Jesus completely or fail.
Hope you have a Blessed Sunday and a Happy Valentine's Day on Wednesday.

A Valentine Kit for You. With the kit files I've included, you can add a photo or words to this kit and arrange however you like. The only thing that I would ask is that you not claim it as your own or sell any part of it as some have been created by others and credit is given below.

You can download the complete kit HERE  (from my box storage site as a direct download, and if you don't have Dropbox, just bypass that link).

In making my kit, some elements are mine and some elements and background paper are borrowed from The Coffee Shop Blog, My Memories website designers, and Creative Market. I did practice and made the candy hearts. Yay me!! :)

Sunday Scripture Blessings 2 4 18

The Spirit of the LORD is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor.
Luke 4:16-19 NIV

Reading in Luke 4: JESUS SAYS

JESUS IS TESTED IN THE WILDERNESS
  • Man shall not live on bread alone
  • It is written: Worship the LORD your God and serve him only
  • Do not put the LORD your God to the test.
JESUS IS REJECTED AT NAZARETH
  • Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing
  • Surely you will quote this proverb to me: Physician, heal yourself. And you will tell me, Do here in your hometown what we have heard that you did in Capernaum. Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in his hometown. I assure you that there were many widows in Israel in Elijah's time, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine through-out the land. Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon. And there were many in Israel with leprosy in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed - only Naaman the Syrian.
JESUS DRIVES OUT AN IMPURE SPIRIT
  • Be quiet, Come out of him!
JESUS HEALS MANY
  • I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also because that is why I was sent.
