Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
My plan was to read the Gospels heading into the Easter season and be done by Easter Sunday. That way, I have refreshed my reading of Jesus' words and in person message to us as he walked our Earth. How glorious that must have been for the disciples.
I have finished Luke and now head on to the reading of John.
My bunny photo is from another Spring, but I am so ready to see the bunnies and the robins out playing and the early morning chirping of birds, and Coffee early morning on the patio. Alas though, the weather isn't quite there yet.
Thanks for visiting, and I look forward to your scripture sharing. They each are a blessing. Please try to visit at least a couple others who have linked. And as always, if you don't have a blog, you are always welcome to leave a scripture in the comment section. Even though I may not reply on this blog because Blogger doesn't link those reply comments to the author, I do visit each and comment there.
Happy Sunday

ReplyDeleteWe are not so close to spring yet though the calendar tells us it will be here before the end of the month. We are expecting a snowstorm in the middle of the week. But, we persevere for we know that Spring isn't so very fr away.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture and a timely reminder- a time for renewing.
ReplyDeleteWe are working our way through watch The Gospels series of Drive Thru History so we can finish up before Easter. I like the idea of reading through the Gospels, too.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely habit - reading through the Gospels and finishing them up by Easter Sunday! I may copy you for years to come! I've placed this on my calendar! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteLove your picture this week, and the colors are lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of reading through all of the Gospels and then ending on Easter.
ReplyDeleteI so appreciate this link-up. :-)
What a great idea to read the Gospels by Easter! We've been going through Mark on Sunday mornings at church and I've been going through it in my personal reading (through the Bible in a year plan). I, also, attended a Bible study this past fall on Mark. I think God's trying to tell me something about not knowing the book of Mark well enough! LOL But seriously, it has been a blessing to dig deeper.
