Softly blows the breeze
that whispers through the trees
As snowflakes fall,
each unique shape circles around
and eventually make it to the ground
As one by one they pile atop another
As the whisper turns to a GROWL
the snowflakes dance and swirl
painting the trees and landscape a lucious white
as fast and furious as a painter's brush
using the world as his canvas ~ and he names it
'Blizzard'

In my mind, I'm still in Spring mode, but the cold wintery weather is almost here though. No snow yet, but the daytime highs are dreary and cold. The photo above is down the road from my house in a prior winter. Soon to be coming again though. Love soft snows, but not blustery and miserably cold ones.
Hope your week is going good as we welcome the last week of October. Months are swirling by too quickly for my liking.

Lovely poem! I like winter more on photos than in real, often it isn't very cozy and for my bicycle snow is not the best (haven't car). Hope, it will be a merciful winter for you this one.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the last autumn days :)
Such a lovely poem. A bit hard to relate to it at the moment though. It is still warm over here!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem! We haven’t had snow here yet either but I know we will soon enough.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of snow... except in photos. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely ode to our early winter!
ReplyDeleteUn poema muy evocador. Pronto la nieve estará aqui
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful and lovely poem. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to your poem because it's 41 degr. today and we have heater on, and I type this comment with a blanket around me:)
ReplyDeleteLove the poem, Peabea!
ReplyDeleteI would love snow if we had winter here in our forever summer corner of the world!
A fabulous poem and wonderful photo, too! I always try to put of acknowledging winter as long as I can, too.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see your link at 'My Corner of the World' this week !!
Oh my, I almost panicked when I saw this photo thinking it was recent! Lovely, but entirely too soon. Your poem is also lovely. Yes, this is coming....but let me enjoy the Autumn colors just a little longer! xoxox
