Tree decorating are starting to make their appearance in homes, and brightly lit decorations don the outside of homes. We are in the first week of Advent ~ HOPE. After the year we've been having, there is always hope with Christ. Hope of things to come, the eradication of this terrible virus called Covid-19, and blessings of all kinds. We have the promise of Hope always. The trees and decorations are signs that all still have Hope of better days because we believe.
Just scribbline about Hope and Love that came down on that night with a babe born in a stable.
Reading today Dec. 1st is from Isaiah 1:1-5:2
The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
1:2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.
1:15-18 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now and let us reason together saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
2:5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.
The hope was in what was to come, and the love that is always.
