It's Valentine's Week ~

Have a great week, and a Happy Valentine's weekend. If you don't get anything for Valentine's day, do what I do and buy candy the next day when they start marking it all down. hahaha

There's a link up below if you'd like to share some photography and/or I'd love to hear the story about how you met your special someone. I met mine the Summer before I started 10th grade. He was a senior and he was in the band and I was a majorette. We met that August when we had what they called 'Dog days of Summer' because it was so hot and we still had to show up each day for practice for shows that we would be doing that Fall at the football games. We were together for 58 years. He will always be my perfect Valentine. lol

  1. Yes it's valentines week. Beautiful post.

I met my husband when I was very young. I was a waitress at a coffee shop. Many years later he showed up at my door to do a background check for employment. I got the job and in the mid 90s we were together. In April will be married 26 years and together for 30. I've known him far longer than that.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Happy Valentine's Day. ♥

    1. Love that. It is so interesting how people meet their soulmates. Sounds like you were meant to be together as you knew him and then life kept putting you together. Congratulations on the many years together. I've learned they just keep getting better. Thanks for visiting and sharing your story. :) ~hugs~

    1. That way we can get more and give to anyone of our friends, kids, grandkids, etc. and everyone shares in the Valentine fun. I like that you think like I do. :)

    1. Thank you. Do you guys have Valentine's Day where you are? My best fun at Valentines was when a kid in grade school was that on that day, we didn't only exchange cards with the other kids, but we got to have Chocolate milk (yay) instead of the normal white. It made the day maybe even better than a box of chocolate from a boyfriend in later years. hahaha

  4. Oh, no Valentine's story in my post this week, but I met my husband in first year high school when he was in my class. We didn't have much to do with each other till end of 4th year high school when he invited me to a school dance. the rest as they say, is history. Enjoy your week and thankyou for the link up!

    1. Love your story and it sounds similar to mine except I didn't go to a dance with mine because back then he was in the senior class and I was a sophomore, which wasn't allowed to go to the prom. Only 11th and 12th grades. Thanks for sharing. :)

    1. Thank you Violetta. True, love should be in the air always. Even if you don't have it where you are or celebrate, I wish some candy for you or maybe an ice cream. Have a great week.

    1. I do too. I found some that my son had gotten when he was in grade school, and was fun to see the writing on the ones he received and the cute cards. That was in the 70's so not sure what the cards kids exchange look like today. Thanks for the Happy Valentine's day, you too. Have a happy week ahead.

  7. Such lovely Valentine's cards. I also had my first date with my future husband 58 years ago. We had decorated a trailer for May Day and he was driving the tractor. God willing, we will be celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary in October.

    1. Happy Anniversary. Seems we have a similar story as well as others. Maybe because we met our others at a young age. I've often wondered if I'd been older would it have been more romantic, but only probably because I watch too many Lifetime stories at Christmas time on TV. lol Thanks for visiting and sharing.
