Pictorial Tuesday 6 16 2026

I love Spring flowers and Daffodils and Hyacinths are the ultimate flower for me.

They are the essence of Spring.

Poetry is the synthesis of hyacinths and biscuits. Carl Sandberg

And, I love biscuits with grape jelly and gravy poured over top. My grandmother and mom made fresh gravy and biscuits every morning. That was our morning, and they were with you most of the day so you never really went hungry at school. Myself, I cannot make a biscuit to save me. I believe in the UK, the biscuit is entirely different than what a biscuit is in America. If a biscuit in the UK is the same as our cookie, I love those too. 😊

The graphic above is made from this picture.

This cute little flower (grape hyacinth), I planted when we first moved into our home in 1978. It was still there when I moved out in 2023. I planted it quickly, forgot about it, and it even got mowed and cut down with the weed eater because it was among the grass. As I've said before, I am not a green thumb nor a very good flower gardener. It is the cutest little flower, and I do wish I had taken better care of it. At least, I have a picture of it since I no longer have it.

Happy Tuesday. Link up is open below for your photography sharings.

  1. Love a good biscuit too.
Grape Hyacinths are such sweet flowers. I sometimes
see them for sale in the stores in January or February. A real treat.
    Thank you for hosting.

  2. What a beautiful photo. We have lots of grape hyacinths in our garden in spring too.
Yes, I can confirm that we would never eat biscuits with gravy in the UK! They are definitely closer to a cookie, although we have cookies as a separate thing too.
