Black 'n White and Scripture

There is just something about this weed....maybe the intrigue of whether it is actually one that is good for you like Queen Anne's Lace or the not so good one Hemlock. I can never tell for sure, but if you do know the difference, from what I have read, one is good for many things. Kind of reminds me of how God fits into our lives. Some things are good for us; others not so much.

May they who love you be like
the sun when it rises in its strength

                        Judges 5:31 NIV

Happy Mid Week....Blessings and enjoy the rest. :)

August Month in Photos

Sharing the month of August 2016 in photos over at Mona's Picturesque.

August was a very hot month in Ohio. Most of the rain went around us so we were lucky, but many prayers and thoughts were in my heart for those in Louisiana and other states that weren't as fortunate. Hopefully, things will settle down with the flooding in states as we head into Fall.

August was a restful month for us after working on restoring what had been a garage that was remodeled into a recreation room by the previous owners back into a garage. Installing the garage door was somewhat a challenge for my hubby, but he is awesome and figured it all out. I now have a garage for my car, and he has his own garage out back.

Some of the pictures above are mostly from one morning when me and my furbaby, Razzy, were enjoying the early morning. He was loving the fact of just being outside, and I was enjoying my morning coffee.

Hope everyone had a relaxing August as well. Be sure to stop over at Mona's to see how others spent their August. :)

Recycling Idea and Bugs Away

If you like to be outdoors, but not so crazy about the little pests that fly around, I have a recycling idea. I saw these citronella vases in the local store selling for upwards of $20 or more, but being on a retirement budget, I decided to make some out of my own vases.

This vase was a gift candle.
After the candle was gone, I hated to part with it, and kept it.
Now it has a new use.

I had this refillable canister from one of those bamboo torches that was also a gift from a few years back that was broken

so I  made this for my front porch area at a cost of $0

Then I found this vase at Goodwill for $1.00

and it needed a taller refillable canister, which I bought for $3.99

Combined, I thought it looked pretty good for my patio area.

I hope you like the idea and have fun making some of your own for when you're having outdoor fun, plus I think they look great compared to just a generic bug away product. :)

If you make some, I'd love if you'd come back and share a picture in the comments section.

Don't you just love recycling bargains? I do....and, I like scribbling about my finds.

Enjoy your day, and sending God's blessings your way,

SPRINGTIME FUN

Abandoned fun when Spring arrives and we just let loose and enjoy!! This squirrel was having so much fun, I had to video him. He played for quite a while before he scurried off. Sometimes, I feel the same way when the earth turns green and the sun shines with warmth...just dance and play like no one is watching. haha

Love comments so scribble me one. :)

So much fun manipulating a picture of my oldest when he was a baby into a basket that I have now and putting him out in the backyard.

I took a picture of a basket that I have, and a picture of the cornfield that surrounds my back yard, and then just added some other elements found in my Adobe Elements program.
