Advent ~ HOPE

No matter how long we wait....with God, there is HOPE

Luke 1:11-17
And there appeared unto him an angel of the LORD standing on the right side of the altar of incense. And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. But the angel said unto him, Fear Not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and they wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the sight of the LORD, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb. And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the LORD their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the LORD.

Hope ~ Advent

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Isaiah 9:6-7

Pictorial Tuesday 11 29

When in California couple of years ago (my first ever visit there and first ever airplane ride), the son took us to see a Lighthouse at Inverness (it's the one that Adrienne Barbeau does her radio show from in the movie 'The Fog'). It isn't used anymore and can't go to the top, but was an amazing day taking the trip, seeing the Lighthouse, and the Ocean as well as this little fellow as we walked up to the Lighthouse hill (before we walked down the stairs to the Lighthouse ~ a story and photos for another time).

The Beautiful Ocean Coastline at Inverness that day was gorgeous.

Today is another Pictorial Tuesday and I'm looking forward to see what awesome photos or graphics you've been working on.

Fun Note:
Finally, I found a laser printer over the Thanksgiving holiday shopping. I've had my eye on one since last Summer because I saw a YouTube on how to do Foiling, but it only works with a laser print out. Have only tried it on one thing so far, but it turned out great. I found my lamination machine for a few dollars at a thrift store, but they're reasonable at WalMart too.

Here's photo of what I've made so far and the YouTube post if anyone is interested in checking it out for their scrapbooking or Bible Journaling. :)

Original below before foil added.

Sunday Scrpture Blessings 11-27

I will give them an undivided heart
and put a new spirit in them;
I will remove from them their heart of stone
and give them a heart of flesh.
Ezekiel 11:19 niv

Over the years, there have been many hurts from friends and from family. It has sometimes been hard to not put the wall of defense up and little by little become a bit hard hearted for fear of the brunt of further hurts. However, as the scripture says, having a divided heart does not make for happy. Jesus teaches Love One Another, and even in the hurtful times, he is there to remind that to Love someone is a far better healing feeling for ourselves rather than the hardened heart. It only hurts ourselves. With a Loving Heart, the hurt melts away, we can move on, and even with the empathy that his spirit gives, we can understand where the hurt came from, and even perhaps the reason for it. He helps us to face life and ourselves for a more healthy being. We can distance ourselves from the source of any hurtful relationships, but in the knowledge that we hold no ill feelings, the hurt falls away. Sometimes, it isn't an easy process, but walking with Jesus always helps. His healing words as we read the Bible are like a balm to any wound that in times becomes invisible.
Happy Sunday, and I look forward to your sharing of Scripture Blessings; whether it is a blog link post or just a comment.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up ~ Moi

Window Moisture

Moisture Closeup

You know how it is when the weather just doesn't seem nice enough for an outdoor photo shoot? Well, that's when I start looking for things around the house to photograph, and that is the way it was the day I took this picture. It is straight out of my camera (no cropping; no photoshop) of moisture beads on my kitchen window. To my eye, it did not look like this, but when I took the pictures from my camera to the computer, some look like tiny shells. Or at least I think so. Always love what the naked eye doesn't see, but the camera does. I love, love photography. Always have.

The linkup is live and will love to see what you've been shooting or even any graphics that you've done. Share away.

Sunday Scripture Blessings 11-20

If we do anything without LOVE
We do nothing

Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer
and supplications with Thanksgiving, let your
requests be made known unto God

Pictorial Friday on Tuesday

Pictorial Friday is MOVING to Tuesday's

Thank you to the wonderful bloggers who participated by linking up to Pictorial Friday. This was the second time I've tried a Pictorial Friday link-up, and it really doesn't coincide with other blog links as well so I'm changing it to Pictorial Friday on Tuesday and it will now be Pictorial Tuesday. Hopefully, those who have participated will continue and I thank you so much. The link up will be live starting this coming Tuesday, November 22nd.

I enjoy seeing your linked up posts, and they make for a brighter week. :) I have met so many great people around the net through link ups and enjoy visiting others each week.

A Freebie for you: I'm sharing one of my Christmas pages that I designed.

I used it this way. The download that you can find HERE won't have my logo nor will it have the Merry Christmas and other elements that I've added as a sample use, but it will have the spaces that you can insert your own photos and the ribbon. If you don't want the space for the photos, just delete those. Hope you enjoy and thank you for participating in Pictorial Friday.
Happy Weekend

Reading in Ephesians with Deeper Waters and their thirty day plan.

We can have confidence by the faith of him. That was reassuring today as I headed to the poll to vote in America today. No matter the outcome, we have confidence that it really doesn't matter because God is in control.

Month In Photos

As retirees, not much really exciting happens around here anymore. I try to do some blogging, sewing, reading, crafts as well as photography. We're actually pretty lazy, but loving it. October was a month of just enjoying the warm Fall days.

The bird feeder is back up, the hummingbird feeder is cleaned and put away. We used up the last of the charcoal on a wonderfully Summer like day for Fall last week, and had a cook out.

Our California babies have moved back to Ohio so we now see them and the youngest grandchild pretty often so that's a plus. Their work requires moving so we'll see how long they'll be around locally, and enjoy while we can.

Sharing with Mona's Picturesque for her link up of Month In Photos. Give her a visit and join in. She shares some of the most awesome photography, and loves to see yours as well.

Happy Tuesday,

~hugs 'n giggles 'n scribbles~
