Phew…. kids got me all moved. Love the apartment but wow now where to put all this stuff. I pitched and pitched to Goodwill, sold things, and pitched to the trash man, but still a lot of everyday things I need to keep. But, it’ll get settled.
I did so good and didn’t think I’d have bad day, but day I cleaned and all was finally out; seeing the place of 46 years all empty was a sad day. Took the memories with me, but still standing in that empty house all the memories of kids growing up, a lifetime of fun and laughter came flooding in.
A movie of a walk Razzy and I did down to the river that runs behind the apartments.
Razzy is adjusting as he really seemed confused and wanted to get out so he could go home. He’s much better now and likes the walks we take around here.
I did grab a photo of my Maple Tree as I was leaving for last time in its Fall glory.
Link up is open below. Thanks to all who visit and share their photography, crafts, and thrifting.

Some of the link ups I visit:
Peabea, your autumn photos are dazzling! I didn't know you were moving house. What an ordeal! And what a wrench after such a long time in one place. I know you'll adjust and do just fine, but in the meantime, well, I'll be thinking of you. And thank you for taking the time to host the link party in the midst of all that.
ReplyDeleteThank you, and appreciate your thinking of me. My sweet hubby that was my high school sweetheart passed four and half years ago after 56 years of marriage, and I've been on my own trying to manage the house and acre lot and all the problems that come up with it. Plus, I really don't like to mow haha. Thankfully, I payed attention and learned a lot of what he did to take care of things like change oil in mower, know where to look when the well pump quit working. Basically, all the little tricks to keep life going at the house, but as time went on, I realized at my age, I just couldn't maintain it. Thank heavens for my son and grandson who helped bear some of the frustrations. They were a Godsend. Anyway, long explanation, but that is why I had to leave. I'm loving the new place, and the weights have been lifted. Thanks so much for leaving me such a nice comment. It is appreciated.
DeleteA new house and a new background- wow that colour! amazing! Is that first tree a persimmon. It is hard to move from a house you have been in a long time. I know I will hate to move from our current house. But new beginnings are good to - and sometimes it is good to throw out the old and welcome the new. Enjoy your new space, new beginnings, and new adventures. Enjoy your week and thankyou again for the linkup.
ReplyDeleteOn the tree, I have no clue. I should have used google to look it up so may do that next time I walk by it. Thanks for the nice uplifting comment. It was time after those years, and without my husband to take care of things. He always took care of house problems/maintenance. Luckily, I did always pay attention and know some things to do, but it just got to be too much. Also, this move brings me out of the lonesome country into and closer to a town where seems more activity. At least, I will no longer have to drive 15-20 minutes every time I want to run to the store, etc. Thanks for visiting.
DeleteIt sounds like you've made great progress in downsizing and making the new apartment your own. It's only natural to feel a sense of nostalgia when leaving behind a place with 46 years of memories. And that photo of your Maple tree in its fall glory must be a touching memento of the old place. The other photos are also awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and leaving me a comment. True, it's coming along. Eventually, will feel like home and I'll have more things unpacked and put away. Thanks for visiting and sharing more of your amazing photography. You always get such great shots.
DeleteI love all the colors of fall. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous day and week. ♥
Fall is definitely the prettiest although I don't really like Winter, but I do love a soft fallen snow covered morning. Not really looking forward though. :)
DeleteSo beautiful autumn leaves - I love the colour of this season. And also the purple flowers look great. Have a good time and all the best

Always nice to see a new visitor, and that way I can come visit your blog. Fall is such a pretty time of year. This year has been weird with the weather though. It was freezing temps the other night. Thanks for visiting. Hope you visit again, and link photography if you like.
DeleteSuch beautiful colors of those leaves. Wishing good thoughts in your new house.
ReplyDeleteHi csuhpat1...thanks for the good thoughts. I am really much happier in the new place. In the country, it was so quiet so it's nice to hear life around me, and this town is much busier than the town I grew up in. That town is much like a ghost town anymore with all the stores and businesses that have moved to the outskirts and it's a small town anyway. :)
DeleteMoving is a huge job, so congratulations on the accomplishment! Hope that you feel more at home and settled every day. Beautiful leaves, especially on that maple tree
ReplyDeleteSo true, and I was much younger the last move. lol That tree always amazed because one day it would be all green, and it seemed overnight to turn to it's Fall color.
DeleteGorgeous bright colours! Nature's really amplified her palate....
ReplyDeleteNature renewing is so pretty. Sad to see it go, but then we get Spring. I love Spring.
DeleteBest wishes in your new home! I like your photos a lot. Aloha
ReplyDeleteThanks Cloudia for the best wishes. I think I'm really going to enjoy, and have so far as can now do more with my daughter on her days off.
DeleteMoving to a new home is exciting, especially when it brings you closer to family! Autumn is my most favorite season. Love your images!
ReplyDeleteHi Debra. Thanks for visiting me and leaving a comment so I could come visit you. Fall is so fun with all the leaves, the pretty mums in the stores and everywhere you drive in a neighborhood, and the decorated pumpkins are fun to see. Great month to lead us up to the holidays. :)
DeleteMoving homes can be very emotional. And very painful when you've spent a few decades in one place, and had your kids grow up there, too. I hope the colors of this beautiful season brightens up your spirits.
ReplyDeleteI've fallen in love with those first 3 pictures up here. Such pretty shades of yellow and orange.
Thank you for hosting Pictorial Tuesday. :)
I agree. Those leaves seem so big to me compared to other trees is why I felt I had to photograph them. Thanks for visiting and linking, and your kind words. :)
