Sunday Scripture Blessings ~ Micah 6

My current study is in Micah. Micah, the 6th of the minor prophets refers to the devastation of Samaria and temporary destruction of Jerusalem. His prophecies of Messiah is that Christ should be born at Bethlehem. A contemporary of Isaiah. A native of Moresheth-gath.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8

The one who breaks open the way will go up before them. The Lord at their head.

Woe to those who plan iniquity. I am planning disaster against this people.

Micah 4
In the last days the mountain of the Lord's temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways so that we may walk in his paths. The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. he will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. Everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the Lord Almighty has spoken. All the nations may walk in the name of their gods, but we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.

Micah 5
But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times. Therefore Israel will be abandoned until the time when she who is in labor bears a son, and the rest of his brothers return to join the Israelites. He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth.

Memories in the Blogosphere

We make friends in this internet world that can touch our lives the same as those friends we meet in the real world. Although we may never see them face to face, nevertheless, they touch our hearts in some ways.

Deb was one that I met early on in the internet world in a writing group around 2006. I'd never ventured into trying to write anything, but had always felt I have a writer locked somewhere inside me as I love the written word. Anyway, Deb was a member of that group. She became a friend in the early years that I was in the group, and enjoyed her commentary on my writing. Everyone in the group was encouraging to one another. Over the years, I met many aspiring writers, and some have gone on to be published.

Deb was later a friend also on Facebook. She always engaged in comments on people's photos and whatever they were sharing. She could also be found to have her opinion, but she most usually gave it with grace. She had started painting again and was excited about it. You could tell the person she was by the way she shared her family through photos and her love of her dogs.

She was a published poet with the Plain Song Review, read her poetry at the South Mill, and an abstract artist who was featured at The Crescent Moon in 2013. She was an avid gardener who loved roses and lilacs, and loved spending time on her deck with her goldens.

I was use to getting on Facebook and checking in with what friends were up to. Eventually, Deb was doing no more posts. She was gone within a short period. There was an empty space now where a virtual friend use to be. That was three years ago, but there are many days that she will pop into my head, and the memory that a virtual friend was gone too soon who had much more to share. I never see or hear about Lilacs that I don't think of Deb because of all the beautiful photos she shared of her beautiful Lilac bushes.

Pictorial Tuesday 4 25

When I went to get my Coffee Sunday morning and looked across the road into the field, there was a pleasant view to watch.

My husband thinks they were probably out because all the farmers are beginning to work in the fields with their machinery or maybe they were just hunting food. We see their prints sometimes in the winter snow, but it has been years since I've seen the deer out this close. They were there for a bit, and then headed back across down the road and off somewhere in the thickets behind us. Such beautiful animals. Seeing these didn't exactly make me giggle, but I certainly had a big smile watching them enjoy their morning.

Happy Tuesday everyone. You're next for sharing. Thank you.

Sunday Scripture Blessings ~ 4 23

You have enclosed me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high, I cannot attain to it
Psalm 139:5-6 NAS

The Bibles that I have are the King James, The New International Version, and I also have the New American Standard, and Today's English Version, but my Promises Blessings Scripture Verses for everyday of the year small desktop fold over has different versions every day. Today's is this one from MSG and it says it this way, and I kind of like it: I look behind me and you're there, then up ahead and you're there too-your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful-I can't take it all in!

Reassuring presence, coming and going, and it's too wonderful. There is no way we can take in all his glory. He is the great I Am. No other is like God. He surrounds us and is there no matter what the situation. We are covered.

You're next for sharing a Scripture Blessing ~ Thank you.

Pink Flower Paper Pack Freebie 4 You

I've been having fun making digital papers. This one is from some flowers that I had a few Summers ago that the son and DIL gave me for Mother's Day. I'm sharing this pack of 5 papers with you as a free download. The download link is below. You're welcome to use them however you like for personal use. No link back is needed, but credit is always welcome. Simply your choice.

Since I'm not selling them, I prefer they not be used for commercial unless permission is asked, and please don't sell them as your own.

Sharing below is an example of how I used a couple of the papers. I didn't add many embellishments for this one because I was going for a more simple digital scrapbook page. The picture I'm using is from pexels.com

Would love to have you share in the comments if you enjoyed my free papers, and maybe even share your digital design. You're also welcome to share what you make or any of your graphics on my Pictorial Tuesday link up.

Will be sharing more freebies to come.

You can download the Papers Pack HERE

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up ~ Bubbles

When I was young, Easter meant the beginning of Spring. Kite flying weather, the earth beginning to warm up, sandals could be worn or just go barefoot was the 'go to' thing for me, and of course after Easter signaled that people could now wear white clothes and shoes. And of course, there was always the bubble fun. These photos are from when my grandson had a bigger wand for blowing big bubbles so of course that meant I had to grab a camera to photograph his bubble fun. ~smiles~

You're next for sharing with Pictorial Tuesday. Thanks.

Pictorial Tuesday 4 11

A day on the Lake and a Heron who posed for us

Hubby was so happy with his new huge fishing pole he bought that day, but that is all he caught.
We laughed....and I just had to snap a photo.
He had bought it hoping to get better over the lily pads that grow in the water and catch a big one. ~smiles~ but a fun day never the less.

Lent Continuing in Luke

As we head into the Easter season and the celebration of  'He Is Risen', my book of choice in the Bible is Luke. The gospels can never be read too many times. It is Jesus' voice. He is speaking to his disciples with instructions that are important to their lives, our lives, and our history. He is alive. He is walking the earth. How special those who saw and listened to him, and how special we are to have his words shared. We celebrate his choosing to go to the cross, his death, and his resurrection for us and our salvation. We are Chosen, We are Forgiven, We are Created by Him. We celebrate the wait for his arrival once more, and I am Thankful. REJOICE!!

Sunday Scripture Blessings 4 1

So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead,
even though the going is rough for a while
down here...You love him even though
you have never seen him; though not
seeing him, you trust him; and even
now you are happy with the
inexpressible joy that
comes from heaven
itself.

Words I love from this scripture:
  • joy
  • love
  • trust
  • happy
  • heaven
And the fact that we can be truly glad because we are Chosen, Forgiven, Loved, and a Child of God

Please join in sharing a Scripture and sharing a visit to some others that link up to share their blessings.
