Sunday Scripture Blessings 5 14

Charm and grace are deceptive:
and beauty is vain [because it is not lasting]
but a woman who reverently and worshipfully
fears the LORD she shall be praised.
Proverbs 31:30 Amplified

One day I was thinking about when you meet someone, and this came into my mind. How it would seem from a baby's point of view when our mother's first held us.

The beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul (Audrey Hepburn)

To all the Mothers, Have a Very Happy Mother's Day

When I was growing up, my mom always said to me and my sisters, one of you at least should become a Nurse. I've always remembered those words, and with kind of a remorse because none of us even ventured into the field of nursing.

When my daughter was born, her middle name is after my mom. So when I attended the pinning of my daughter this week-end, my mom and her words popped into my mind. I think she would have been very proud to know that her namesake grand-daughter became a Registered Nurse. I'm very proud of my daughter and what a wonderful Mother's Day gift to be there when she was pinned.

You're next. Thank you for sharing a Scripture Blessing.

  3. What a beautiful poem. I love how we see our dreams come true, not always in our own lives, but in the lives of our children and grandchildren. Congratulations to your daughter and to you!

  4. How lovely and peaceful. We are neighbors at a linkup and am so grateful to have found you. Mothers are so special. I lost mine 4 years ago but she lived to two months shy of 99. The last 15 years of her life, we had her close by. I am so thankful for my Mama.
