Pictorial Tuesday ~ 1 30 18

Was working on learning to make the cut outs that you see as squares in this border. When using Adobe Photoshop CS, you use the eraser and set the eraser with spacing of about 300. However, I usually use Adobe Photoshop Elements (currently upgraded from 12 to the 2018 version), and setting the eraser is a bit different but can be done.  Always fun to learn something new for my graphics, and YouTube is wonderful for tutorials.

Making the film strip was fun to do also. It is done the same way using a square eraser or square brush. I followed the YouTube tutorial below to make a film strip:

We are still having winter...bummer. I know, we still have a few more months so I'm not looking forward to February or March weather at all. Can you believe we just started the New Year of 2018, and already only one more day and January has run its course for this year. So far, it has not been too bad. It wasn't too eventful. A doctor visit, bills paid (yay-that's always a plus), I was needed to babysit two of the grandbabykins so had a sleep over at one's house so I could get him on the bus the next morning while his mom was at work, and the other was at a hotel while her parents had a bit of time out. She and I spent some time in the pool, then a movie and snack time. I enjoyed getting out of the house so for me that was like a really mini-mini vacation. haha

Snow covered Tree:

Tonight it is snowing and the wind is howling. We aren't suppose to get that much accumulation so hoping not like week before last when the wind drifted the snow around and we couldn't plow out of the driveway for a couple of days.

You're next for sharing your Pictorial Tuesday photography or graphics. Thanks to all who stop by and share a link or comment.

Happy Tuesday

  3. Stay warm! Am still not feeling well, so am staying indoors and taking it easy, even though it's around 60ties outside. Thanks for hosting!

  4. YouTube is a treasure trove of tutorials for... pretty much everything!

(The recipe I used for the mango sticky rice was http://rasamalaysia.com/mango-sticky-rice/ If you can't find pandan leaves, you can skip them. The pandan leaves mainly just makes the rice more fragrant.)

  5. We often get little "false springs" this time of year with warmer weather and the leaves of bulbs popping through the earth. It is that way the past couple of days. We could, however, be surprised with snow before spring, and of course I'm sure we will have a lot more rainy days!

  7. It's always so pretty to see when the snow first falls, but I know it's a pain when you try to carry on with everyday life.

    1. I do really love the undisturbed snow before it lays for days and gets dirty or with footprints everywhere. Nothing like waking to a soft snowfall that looks like the artist God has been at work with his white paint. haha But, I agree, the part of worry when wanting to drive somewhere is a headache and don't like that part. Thanks for visiting and commenting. :)
