Pictorial Tuesday 7 3 18

This is a cute dainty new perennial to my flower bed this year. I think it's nicknamed pincushion flower. I lost my description card but found this online:

Scabiosa Scabiosa

Also known as pincushion flowers, Scabiosa is an interesting flower with a pincushion-like center and an outer layer of petals. This summer bloomer can be found most often in shades of blue, white and purple.

My ever favorite Hens 'n Chicks (Succulents)

A weed that I photographed with blue flowers. Even a bothersome weed can be pretty.
Flowers are so tiny, but the camera made them pop.

Always a favorite shot...up under.

I put this one in a frame that you can find for free at Shabby Blogs.
If you've never checked them out. Lots of goodies.

Now it's your turn for sharing what you've been photographing, a digital scrapbooking of a favorite photo, or a photo that you've turned into photo art. Please share your photography and try to visit other photographer enthusiasts.

  5. Beautiful shots. I was curious and I found the name of the weed as well. There are so many names! Alehoof, tunhoof, catsfoot, gill-over-the-ground, ground-ivy, creeping jenny...
