Cute Recycling Idea for You-Tissues Not

Tissues ‘Not’

To this:

20160302_170050

I was looking for some ideas for my craft supplies, and I found this idea on YouTube last March. Thought I'd reshare it here. She made hers from the smaller tissue box, but I had some of the larger ones. Takes all of about 15 minutes to make. I used two 12×12 scrapbooking pages. She cut paper towel tubes to different sizes to put inside for the different items, and I found that empty medicine boxes (like cough syrup comes in and others) work well too.
So then, I made another one. Yay!!

I make purses and smaller bags, and I already had sewn the one below so thought I’d just use it for my pens, markers, and micron pens that I use for Bible journaling

Getting organized with fun crafts.
The video that I found on YouTube is below if you want to make some. Enjoy!

Pictorial Tuesday Linkup 3 28 17

Over the week-end, we had a gloriously warm day so I brought around the summer chairs for the front porch, did a bit of cleaning of the outdoor table and chairs. Then, I let the furbaby, Razzy, who loves to be outdoors come onto the porch. I brought my camera, and we sat and listened to all the different birds singing. However, since we were foreign to them, only a few came to the feeder and close enough for me to get a photo. This fellow, a sparrow with red on him, and the white one were the only ones that came long enough to pose for me. :)

Happy Tuesday. Looking forward to all who link on Pictorial with their lovely photos. Thank you to those who have come weekly. :)

Breeze

Resharing one of my Poems from couple years ago since I've been doing some Bird photos. :)

'BREEZE'
He peeked out through the tree
Wondering if there was a Breeze
The wind softly touched his beak
I'll take a chance, he thought
Softly the Breeze caught his wings
First flight and he loved it
Soaring high like mama showed him
Then sadly realizing he hadn't moved
It was his mind that soared
He still sat in the tree
Tomorrow he thought; tomorrow for sure

Sunday Scripture Blessings 3 26

Photo is from Creative Markets

One day Jesus said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side of the lake." So they got into a boat and set out. As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we're going to drown!" He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. "Where is your faith?" he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another,

Sunday Scripture Blessings 3 19

Leading up to the celebration of the resurrection, I am studying Luke.

Luke is writing to Theophlius and telling his version of the foretelling of Jesus.
  • The Angel (Gabriel) visits Zachariahs and tells him that he and Elisabeth (who could not have children) will be blessed with a child. -John The Baptist
  • Elisabeth is the daughter of Aaron - brother of Moses
  • An Angel visits Mary and tells her she will bear a son, and his name will be Jesus

Mary's Song of Praise: The Magnificat

And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant.
For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts;
he has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate;
he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy,
as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his offspring forever."

Zechariah's Prophecy

"Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has visited and redeemed his people
and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David,
as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old,
that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us;
to show the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember his holy covenant,
the oath that he swore to our father Abraham, to grant us
that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear,
in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways, to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the forgiveness of their sins,
because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high
to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace."

March-The Gentle Lion Pictorial Tuesday

March this year came in like a Lion, but a tame Lion compared to years past. Especially memorable was one 30 plus years ago. And a few years prior to that, we had the Blizzard of 1978, which was a not so fun one. We spent three days in a house with twenty or more plus neighbors. We cooked over a fire in a fireplace. Thank heavens where we were had one. We survived, and the snow took weeks upon weeks to melt away.

Six years later, we had blizzard like conditions, when our third little one decided to make an entrance. The wind was howling and the snow was blowing and drifts knee high. My car wouldn't start to get me to the hospital, and even if it had, I could not have gotten out of my driveway. Hubby was on the road so it was up to me and her two brothers. We ended up calling the squad to take me. Their sister made her entrance the next afternoon. This past week our snow blizzard baby celebrated her birthday, but thank goodness we weren't also celebrating blizzard like conditions as well. She has now grown into a lovely young woman who is also a mom to our wonderful grandson.

So, to say the least, this winter has been very gentle indeed. The Lion must have a cold or sore throat and is not howling here in Ohio like normal for March entrance. However, we are slated to have some snow, probably more than we've had all winter beginning tonight, but sounds like just normal winter snow...nothing severe.

Please share some of your photographic moments, a graphic or just an hello. Hope all are staying warm wherever you live or staying cool in the hot climates. :)

Sunday Scripture Blessings 3 12

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
For he that is entered into his rest,
he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest,
lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief..
Hebrews 4:9-11 KJV

Prayers that everyone has a glorious Sunday and week ahead:

The Robins Are Back

Not sure where they go for the winter. I've read that they stay around even in the winter, but we don't see them at all. They made their first showing this week. So, Spring is about here. Yay!!

I'm also so ready to see some color: These are from few years ago.

Thanks for visiting, and would love to have you share your photography, graphics or just say hello. :)

For some more on Robins, visit my page link 'Update On The Bird Nest' above for when the Robins nested on our water hose one Spring. It was fun to watch the eggs, the Robins taking turns watching their eggs, and then the family flitting about the back yard.

Sunday Scripture Blessings 2 5

Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

Rest ~ what a relaxing word.
I'm one who loves to nap so the word Rest means to un-flex those muscles, give it all away to no worries, close the mind for a bit, and just be. When pregnant with our third child is the first time that I went through a Lamaze class. The one thing that was taught was how to relax by just mentally letting all the parts of the body go limp. Think about letting the arms just feel limp, no muscle needed, then the hands, then the legs, then the head, or somewhat in that order. I would think that is what Jesus means about him giving Rest. Just let it go, and lean...(as Pooh might say - no bother). Just go to him for Rest.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Yoke ~ to me is not a relaxing word. It reminds me of someone controlling me. And, my human side would want to resist anyone who would want to yoke me, and try to control my movements. But the Rest that Jesus is saying is so comforting because he is reminding of how he cares for us. If we let him take control, have an invisible Yoke, and submit to his gentle and humble heart that I know would not in anyway want to control or hurt. He only wants the best for people.

His yoke is easy, and his burden is light.

All his yoke is that he ask that we Love, and tend to the ways of a gentle Jesus. Loving and Kind.

Since reading the Bible steady, since 2014, I'm learning so much about how easy Jesus' yoke can be. However, my human-ness gets in the way, my thoughts get in my way, and I am side-lined constantly. Jesus knows this, and I truly appreciate his gentle and humble heart because he is a forgiving God. Just reading the Old Testament is ~testament~ to how many times he forgave; even if he punished for a bit, he always forgave his chosen people.

As this passage from Matthew shows, we can go to God with anything on our hearts. The Rest is there, we just have to take it. Relax and enjoy his rest.

Thanks for reading my Scribblings..:) and you're next if you'd like to share a Scripture Blessing:
