Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 8 27 19 and crafting

Had my first experience with (c)Lindor Chocolates. Oh my, cannot believe I have never tried them before. Delicious...

This shawl is still a work in progress, but I think I'll love it when finished. Not sure yet if keeping or selling. I haven't worked on it since last winter.

The Shawl below is finally finished. It's my first one made since trying my hand at knitting the last couple years. I've always done crochet since a child, but never could quite get knitting until I really set my mind on it. The one below is called The Back Porch Shawl. Even though it is for beginners, I think it's lovely. Besides doing the yarn overs on the end, which makes a nice looking edge, I added a couple rows of yarn overs for variation, which the pattern doesn't. However, the one on (c)YouTube, she did a yarn over at the beginning and at the ends. If you're new to knitting or you just like really easy patterns and shawls, you can find the free pattern HERE.

Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 8 25 19

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.  Samuel 16:7

Happy Sunday. The link up is below for your sharing a scripture if you would like. Thank you and have a great week. Cannot believe that this already is the last Sunday in August. It just started....

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 8 20 19 with some Craftiness thrown in

Since, I really don't get that many photographers to my link up like in the past, I'm adding that people can also share their craftiness. Share the sewing, Cricut designs, or quilts and crafts you've been working on. I do request that you share photos of your crafty projects as well as your photography. (Family friendly always, and links not related to crafts or photography, I reserve the right to delete.)

Today's scribbling is about crafting: I'm back to sewing and projects to keep my mind busy on that ~ rather than sad things.

I really hadn't played around much with appliques, and I really liked this elephant material so decided to make a set of bibs, which I applied the elephant applique cut out to one of the bibs as well as adding to a purchased Onsie.  My other crafting project was adding a design using my Cricut to a Onsie.

I make purses and other things to sell on eBay and have sold on Etsy, and the Sunflower material is just one of my purses made recently. The smaller bag was just playing with the left over scraps to be given to a grand-daughter.

Below is the link up for sharing your photos or crafts. Only request is please keep it family friendly. Look forward to what you've been up to.

Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 8 18 19

The Priest's Breastplate:

Exodus 28:29-30
And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually. And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummin; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.

The link up is below if you would like to share a scripture blessing link from your blog. If you don't have a blog, feel free to share a scripture in the comment section. Thank you to all who visit and link up and have a wonderful week ahead. Happy Sunday.

Note taken from my Bible Dictionary and Concordance: U'rim and Thum'min (light and perfection). The Scriptures do not describe Urim and Thummin, nor does Jewish tradition give any information. It was placed in the high-priest's breastplate in order to be upon his heart when he went in before the Lord, and was the medium through which the divine will was sought and made known. Exod. 28:30, 1 Sam. 28:6

Sunday Scripture Blessings 8 11 19

Hope everyone had a great week and are enjoying a peaceful Sunday with beautiful weather. We have cooled a bit so it was nice to sleep with windows open and nice night breeze. My week was spent with getting back to doing some sewing making a baby gift for a baby girl due the grand-daughter in September, and a purse as well as items that will be added to my Etsy once I get it back up and running. Will share some of those crafts on my Peabea Scribbles in another post.

You're next if you'd like to share a scripture. Thank you for those that do as well as any comments. All are looked forward to and appreciated. 😊

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 8 6 19 and Recycling Idea

I think I've shared this before, but thought I'd share it again since where I live, the bugs seem to be getting worse when sitting out and enjoying the day or evening. A cuter way for keeping the bugs away.

If you like to be outdoors, but not so crazy about the little pests that fly around, I have a recycling idea. I saw these citronella vases in the local store selling for upwards of $20 or more, but being on a retirement budget, I decided to make some out of my own vases.

This vase was a gift candle.
After the candle was gone, I hated to part with it, and kept it.
Now it has a new use.

I had this refillable canister from one of those bamboo torches that was also a gift from a few years back that was broken

so I  made this for my front porch area at a cost of $0

Then I found this vase at Goodwill for $1.00

and it needed a taller refillable canister, which I bought for $3.99

Combined, I thought it looked pretty good for my patio area.

I hope you like the idea and have fun making some of your own for when you're having outdoor fun, plus I think they look great compared to just a generic bug away product. :)

Don't you just love recycling bargains? I do....and, I like scribbling about my finds.

Some who visit Pictorial Tuesday may know that my husband passed away in May of this year. He and I always drank a pot or two of coffee in the mornings and throughout the day. My kids mentioned that instead of me now making a full pot of coffee that I should buy a ©Keurig. I had bought one a few years ago, but I sold it after seeing how expensive it was for hubby and I to go through the coffee pods. Anyway, where I'm going with this is that the Keurig's are expensive for me, but with being a thrift store person, this was my thrift store find just this past weekend. It looks like new so thought I'd take a chance on it, and it works great. I paid a whole $19 after discounts.  This way, I'm not wasting the bottled water (don't use our well water anymore) and coffee, but I kept the regular coffee pot for when the kids visit or company, and I won't have to buy that many of those little coffee pods. You can see I left the price sticker on for a bit in case I do have to take it back, but so far so good.

Now on to sharing your photography, digital graphics, photos of what you've been up to and even crafts if you like. A picture is a picture, and it's all photography (but please, family friendly) so share away, and visit others who link up.

Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 8 4 19

A Bit of Bible Journaling

Even though we can't see or touch we have Faith because of his promise.. Matthew 28:20
Feel free to take my Sunday Scripture Blessing Button

Even in all wisdom, man cannot know the plans of God under the Sun. So eat, drink, be merry because it is God's plan - not ours no matter how hard we try. But discern and Live a righteous life. Look to yourselves and not to others because we each have our own path that God has planned. Others' actions should not impact ours even when they seem to be rewarded for bad actions. So be merry and happiness from God will allow his Love to show through us, and maybe those actions will impact others as needed. Man's vanity where God is concerned is useless. With all that Solomon had attained in the end, I think he realized the true worth of righteous things vs his vanity attempts at happiness.

More and more as I read through the Bible and closeness with God, it becomes evident that the beauty of life is truly in the simple things. Another wake up to enjoy God's green earth, a day without misfortune, a smile from a child that we pass in the grocery, a kind word or a hug. Even when not aware, there are many blessings that are from God in our daily life.
Thankful I Am.

Thanks for visiting Peabea Scribbles, and I hope you will share a scripture blessing in the link up below. If you don't have a blog, you're welcome to share one in the comment section. I enjoy reading all the linkups and the comments. Have a wonderful Sunday and week ahead.
