Pictorial Tuesday Link up 3 31 2020

When I walk at a cemetery, I find the old headstones interesting. And, I also like to think that by looking at them, and sharing them, they're not forgotten. This one, I found from the Ohio Civil War, and also found the roster with his name on it. To see roster, click HERE and his name appears in Company I

We did have couple sunny and warmer days so Razzy and I could take a walk. Other than that, I've pretty much been staying home. Today, the grandson did Face Time with me. He is out of school, and the Governor just announced today that the school closings will continue through April. He's in Middle School and does have online classes to take while staying at home.

Also today, I was surprised by the oldest and his family with a box of goodies/groceries for me. They dropped them off, and was sad they couldn't come in, but a nice surprise to see them through the window. So, all and all, today has been a good day.

Hope all are staying well. Link up is open below for sharing your photography, digital graphics, and/or photos turned into artwork.

Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 3 29 2020

Happy Sunday. So far, I am faring well during this social distancing, stay at home order in Ohio. So far, we are not locked down. However, am having withdrawal of not having the Grandson come visit. Going into Spring and Summer, he is my helper around here since I lost my hubby last May.

Praying daily for God to bestow the knowledge to those who will use it for a cure. My prayer is also that all stay well, and if happen to get this virus, that the healing is quick.

So, what have I been doing? Keeping busy, and with the sunshine this past week, Razzy and I could get out for a walk. I did a bit of raking of some left over leaves, but mostly we have had rainy days.

I'm sewing some of those homemade masks that I will donate, but the sewing is going slower than normal. I'm not as young as I use to be, and the sewing, I end up taking breaks...or I'm just too lazy anymore. lol

Pictures HERE  if would like to see what I've been sewing:

Hope all have a nice week ahead and stay well.

Pictorial Tuesday Link Up 3-24-2020

What I've been doing in my social distancing;

I ordered material online for pick up, and it came in yesterday to make the masks that have been requested in case hospital supplies are exhausted. They will only be used as a last resort, but I'm not too busy lately. Feeling fine here so far and have not gone out much at all even before they were requesting we stay home.

Material Arrived and I have been cutting so I have some cut out and ready to sew

These are the kind I'm making. I like the one with ribbons as it covers down to the chin and up above the nose, but the ribbons I measured need to be longer.

Problem with making the masks is there is a shortage of the elastic size needed, and I'm learning that it probably has been supplied to the places that actually make the masks. I did find some on eBay so will make what I can.

I had also been wanting to change out the curtains in my kitchen so found a table cloth I had that I could re-purpose into the bottom half of my window. I didn't, at the time, know that the local fabric store was open, but I wasn't wanting to venture out anyway. And, I liked the checks on the table cloth. The top half, I had sewn long ago.

Along with still playing with making graphics, that's what I've been doing. Razzy, and I are making it  through each day, and so far I am feeling fine, and hope all of you are staying well also.

A bit of Morkie Boy Razzy, what he is wanting, you will see in the last shot. Such a begger.

Link up is open below, if you'd like to share some photography, graphics, and/or photos turned into photography art. Thanks, and stay well and have a good week. Weather is warming up here, and even with the rain, that is a plus. 😀🙋

Sunday Scripture Blessings Link Up 3 22 2020

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust; his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Link up is open below if you'd like to share a scripture blessing. Thanks for sharing and have a good week ahead. Prayers for our world, and those most affected by this virus.

Sunday Scripture Blessings 3 15 2020

For I, the LORD your GOD, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, "Fear not, I am the one who helps you."   Isaiah 41:13 ESV

Hands. We do so much with our hands. Some can't talk without using their hands, and I am one, I guess. Actually, I don't really notice because I'm concentrating on what I want to say. If we watch babies, they spend a lot of time just looking at their hands from infancy until they realize how to use them correctly. Our kids, when learning to eat, used them to turn the spoon upside down, which lost their food. But they soon learned to adjust that. Some babies eat with their hands, and oh, the mess.

Hands. As we grow, we use them in so many other ways throughout life. The gentle touch of a hand from a mom when her child is sad. When we meet that special someone, holding hands feels right.

And, just knowing that God's hand is there in life, and as the scripture says he will help, brings such reassurance. Especially, as our world continues to face many situations that would cause us to be fearful. We have weathered many things in this world, and throughout, we have seen God's hands at work. I trust he is still at work. His way, not ours. But, we can use our hands also for good, as I see many doing.

Humans still continue to amaze me; especially when it seems the chips are down. I saw this video online when I was reading a person's story of how things are in a town in Italy about their facing the Coronavirus Pandemic called We Live in Silence Die in Silence And Wait.
Story is here and is so touching as to what they have been facing: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/03/13/italy-we-live-silence-die-silence-wait/

And also so touching in this simple act of coming together that I have no doubt they were touched by the hand of God who sowed the seed of the first person who began the singing found here:

They can't go out and communicate, and as a coming together, they sing.

Fear not, God is holding our hands through this, same as through everything in life. My prayer is that everyone is staying healthy, and that God helps those who are in charge to alleviate this sooner than later as they did in the days of Swine Flu, N1H1, Sars, and Hong Kong Flu...I had that one and was put down flat on my back when my kids were babies. It was no fun, having the pneumonia, and being deathly sick for more than two weeks. At that time, doctors really weren't wanting anyone to come in to their office, which I couldn't have anyway. But, I finally could get out of bed enough to call the doctor, and he gave the whole family medicine to counteract. With that, we made it through, and with God holding our hand, we will be able to figure this one out.
